We first this beatiful river on Pai. When you first see, you can feel that there is nothing special. But it goes all along mae hong son and northern thailand. Many activities occur such as, elephant riding- bamboo rafting- caving and etc. So it really works well. Beside you can find many beatiful restaurants all along river..

From the Pai river, you can view the mountains in the backdrop, clusters of hotels around it too. You can stroll or cycle along the Pai river too. Nice little place to catch some photos of the scenery.

We visited a village with long neck ladies and went there by longtail boat which drove over river Pai. It was very hot that day and the wind was like a fohn. But it was a beautiful trip.

Bamboo rafting down the Pai river was such a relaxing and memorable experience. You can connect with surrounding nature and get yourself into a meditating mindset so easily. My partner and I rafted down the river as a part of Thom's Elephant Camp package. Highly recommended!

Cool little river running through town but I really wish It looked more appealing for a swim. Very peaceful nonetheless.

Not sure if you can swim. Looks a little dirty :/ it runs through the town and there is many accommodation along the river so you can listen to it at night . Very relaxing

It's an average river with not so clear water. It's still pretty cool to see local families go down to the river to bath and cool off before sunset.

Stay beside the river is the most fantastic in Pai area. The river is very peaceful and romantic. Clean and clear.

River is always an an atraction and makes a landscape more buetiful. This is also the case wit the river Pai. Good for take pictures and ride a elephant around. In February the river is rather small and dry. Have to visit in the rainy season to compare. Next time.

Had an early morning start with camera and binoculars with me alongside the river. It was oke for birdwatching, had 2 kinds of kingfishers and several other birds wich made it river itself is not much more than a dirty stream when it is dry season. Apparently it is dry season in January.
