About
Pai Adventures is a family owned business that specializes in white water rafting, jungle trekking, jungle survival, and caving. We are adventurers that created eco adventures for those that love the outdoors. All our equipment is brand new and meets all international standards. Our guides are local hill tribesmen that are masters of their environment. We are one of the only companies offering tours all year although rafting and caving are seasonal.

We did a 12km trek in the jungle starting in a small village and ending at a very beautiful waterfall. We were a group of 5 with a local guide who was very nice and funny, he could speak very well English and gave a lot of information. Everything went well from A to Z. Very well organised and a real moment to enjoy the nature.

Before going in Pai adventures, I was always skeptical
about hiking or trekking & never really enjoyed it too much. In a group I decided to go, as one of the group member knew Eddie, a Stand-up, highly knowlegable & skilled veteran who runs Pai adventures. The entire experience was mind-blowing. Thrilling & captivating! From the knowledge this Eddie has to his down to earth character & friendliness + the whole entire experience exceeded my expectations by miles. What topped it off was the amazing breath-taking waterfall that we hiked too. It was an adventure I will always remember. Thanks Eddie for making the experience an always memorable one! 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅

I took two separate checking and swimming in waterfall tours with Pai Adventures recently and I absolutely loved it! Both were phenomenal experiences. Eddie and his crew are incredibly kind passionate and knowledgeable in the outdoors. I had an absolute blast and I will definitely come back to do another tour with Pai Adventures!!!

We did treks 2 and 3, since trek 1 wasn't available. Our tour guide was great and lovely, however the treks themselves weren't too special. Despite seeing some slightly cool sites such as a cave and a waterfall, we weren't able to go into the cave. We also didn't see much scenery (admittedly I was warned of that before going on the tour). In other words, the treks we did were a little underwhelming.

Additionally, our driver ran over someone's dog on a main road and kept on driving. The poor dog yelled out and his dog companion checked to see if it was ok. The driver didn't stop or care at all. The driver pulled over after I asked him to and I told him what he'd done. He responded with 'i didn't see it until it was too late'. I don't believe this is true, since the road was wide, sunlit and the dog seemed very visible. There was also no indication of him slowing down when approaching the dog. (It was safe for him to slow down).
I asked if we could turn around and see if it was ok, however he said no 'we have to get back to pai'. The driver didn't care at all about the animal's welfare or my feelings. I told the reception about the incident, and he drove off quickly after saying that he hit the dog. One of the receptionists cared, the woman receptionist didn't seem to care.
Overall, the experience was ok but slightly underwhelming, poor organising by the company, and very disappointing attitudes of some of the staff (mainly the driver). If you do this trek I'd advise including trek 1 on the itinerary, since it has scenery included.

Eddie took us X Tubing (white water tubing) just north of Pai.

Great rapids there, lots of fun.

Eddie is a great guide and took care of us.

Thanks Pai Adventures!

For months we tried contacting Pai Adventure to arrange a treking White Water Rafting Trip. They answered one email basically because I had our hotel in Pai contact them. I sent them dozens of emails requesting a reservation as we were arriving on specific dates and we had specific hotel reservation therefore we wanted to ensure we got what we wanted in advance. Long story short when we showed up they had nothing....and were rather disinterested when I tried to explain I had been in contact with them....to make a long story short we went down the road and got someone else to take us which was the best choice we could have made.

After the offer in their web page to do as well tours for 2 people (if there are not more people interested) so we walked in their office to book a tour-without any success! They told us it would be not profitable for them to do the 1 day jungle tour and we should wait until there a more persons to book. So they recommend to ask day by day if someone is interested. I think in such a already tourist place like Pai where everyone try to get the most money out of the tourists it should be possible to be a bit more professional!

If you read the itinerary on the website you must have seen where it says...(copied from website)..... 1 DAY TREKKING PRICE : * MINIMUM 3 PEOPLE Trek #1 2 – 3 people – 1,200 baht 4 – 5 people – 1,100 baht 6 + people – 900 baht Trek #2 2 – 3 people – 1,500 baht 4 – 5 people – 1,400 baht 6 + people – 1.200 baht (price includes 200 baht Wildlife Sanctuary fee and 100 baht motorcycle fee per person) Trek# 3 2 – 3 people – 1,400 baht 4 – 5 people – 1,300 baht 6 + people – 1,100 baht (price includes 200 baht Wildlife Sanctuary Fee per person) Trek # 4 2 – 3 people 1,200 baht 4 – 5 people 1,100 baht 6 + people 900 baht I did not alter anything. It says in big bold letters *minimum 3 people. The reason for this is we take our clients out further than any other trekking agency in Pai. Therefore our logistics cost more. So to make a profit we have to have at least 3 people. If we take only 2 people our profit is -150 baht. We have to pay the cook for the food, buy the ingredients, pay the driver, pay the guide, buy the gas, and pay for insurance. When 3 people do 1 day trekking we make about 600 baht ($20). We do not try to "get" money out of tourists. We try to give people a vacation of a lifetime. If we only worried about profit we would do trekking just outside Pai like everyone else. But we go the extra mile to be better than all the other agencies. Thus why we are ranked #1 on Trip Advisor in every category for adventures. I do not think your review is very fair as it says on the website we must have a minimum of 3 people for 1 day trekking. This review hurts our stellar reputation. I hope you reconsider keeping it posted.

We went whitewater rafting in low season (sept) and where the only two on the river. we met at the office in Pai and was taken in the back of a pick up to the river, stopping to feed the gibbons, awesome experience. the first hour on the river was very chill, just light paddling and floating, enjoying the scenery, we stopped for lunch which consisted of fried rice, hot dogs and watermelon. After lunch is when the fun started, we went through about 15 rapids with varying degree's of difficulty, when the river flattened out we stopped to cliff jump ( higher than it looked) and then jumped into the river and floated with the current. We ended in a park where we showered and changed clothes. It was a fantastic day and highly recommend it. Do know that to reach the river from Pai, we drove two hours of switchback after switchback over the mountains and repeated on the way back..I was quite nauseous, so you might want to bring some Dramamine

Thank you for giving us such a great review. Glad you enjoyed the rafting. I hope the staff explained in detail regarding the ride there and back? We will make sure to discuss this topic with the staff to ensure they are letting the clients know "ALL" details regarding a day of rafting with us. We usually have Dramamine in the vehicles and it should have been offered to you. Again, we will discuss this as a Team and make sure we are offering it. We hope to see you again for another adventure. Safe travels.

Amazing 5 hours hike! It was our first time doing a hike. We chanced upon Pai Adventure and decided to sign up on the spot after speaking with new owner, Ed. We started from Lisu Village heading towards Black Lahu Village and finally ending at BanRai Village. Lunch was in the forest. Totally one with nature! It was a steep incline starting from Lisu Village but the scenic views (and sink hole) totally made up for it! Reckon it was better starting from the most difficult part as the rest of the way was downhill. Both guides, Jako and John, were amazing and took great care of us! Special thanks to John for watching out for us at the back!

Went on a 2 day hike on homestay with Pai adventures. Guide was knowledgeable, friendly and a great cook. The hikes were as described and challenging. We visited some beautiful sites that we would not have found any other way. Homestay was primitive that gave us some insight to local life. Highly recommend.
