This attraction is riverside opposite the Chinese Buddhist temple which is an attraction in itself. Some of the reviews and photos are of the quirky sculpture park Sala Keoku (Wat Keok) which is about 4 or 5km from Nong Khai central. Don't be confused
In fact there are some good and correct views of the double naga statues and if you are in Nong Kha,i it's definitely worth a visit. It's better at night in my opinion because of the coloured lighting.
Oh and there is a guy selling superb coconut ice cream among the roadside food stalls

Phaya Naak - Dragon Snake

Built about 2 y ago, damaged after a heavy storm and repaired last year, this monument is a nice thing to see, the most in the evening when the color and water fountain is going on. In front of a Chinese Tempel, on a large promenade, people are having some exercise, just hang out with the kids, or eat some street food in big quantity available here in the early evening. A nice place to pass some relaxed moments. A must see i would say.

WOW

The Nong-Khai city hall must have paid a lot to make the new promenade along the banks of the Mekhong river beautiful decorated with hundreds of green and golden "Dragon Lamposts" and intricate bricklaying so you can sit there in the evening restaurant's and enjoy the sundown over the Friendship bridge, in a few months the whole place will host the Mekong river race for very fast speedboats and water scooters. SOOOO COOL.

Crazy

The sculpturer behind this park, Bunleua Sulliat, and friends created these enormous sculptures starting in the end of the 70s. Some of them are gigantic - towering over 20 meters from the ground. Situated a few kilometres outside the center of Nong Khai it is smart grabbing a tuk-tuk for a ride to the park. Visiting this park will give you an experience different to anything you have seen before. I've been there three or four times but I always find new things when visiting.

Large collection of statues decorate this place. Much to look at and some bizarre moments you'll find as you wander round.

I would recomend this to anyone, a great collection of huge statues from buddhism and the hindu religions. Great for pictures and really nice and peaceful. Take an umbrella if its sunny as theres no shade.

a little difficult to find if you miss the correct road going inside. Once you are there (parking available) and you are inside... just have your eyes open..

Great spot to enjoy the river view

As a native of Nong Khai and travel back home often, I think the Nak (naga) head in TripAdvisor is in correct, that is the one in front of the old city hall. The Lan Phaya Nak is the one with two big green Nakas on the river walk near the Sadet Peir. Naka is consider the symbol of Nong Khai. The Lan Phaya Nak is a big plaza on the river walk and is slated for many local and officials activities. It is the best spot to see the view of the Mekhong River; of both Laos and Thailand. Great place to be both day time and at night. A very photo op area of being in Nong Khai.
