We spent a couple of hours here. Had a good lunch overlooking the river and bought lots of fruit & vegetables; much cheaper than in Bangkok. The area includes a temple complex all of which is pleasantly unspoilt.
This beautiful old styled market will take you back to an older time in Thailand. Set along side the river, the smells and foods are truly unlike other markets in Bangkok. One for those that like to take the road less traveled.

If you to experience a truly Thai local market then this is definitely the place to be. Hardly patronized by foreigners, you can find all sorts of interesting local food here.
Don't forget to try out the riverside restaurant and also the yummy coconut ice-cream!

Depends on the hotel. Nakhon Pathom has taxis. There are lots of vans, buses, and motorcycle taxis. Just ask the hotel and they will arrange for transportation. Just ensure you understand the cost and it is agreed upon prior... More

Just ensure you understand the cost and it is agreed upon prior to departure. Make sure you arrange transportation to the market and return.
