Disgrace of a beach. I visited it a few years previous and it was kept lovely and clean. It is criminal that there is a charge of 50 baht per person to enter yet none of the local businesses seem to keep it clean. Had to stop a dog chewing a lighter and much of the rubbish has been there a long period. Environmental contious got the better of me and another visitor (despite releluctancy due to being charged) so we bagged what rubbish we could. Sad to see the island drowning in rubbish and a a sustainable tourism model such as places like the Seychelles and shift in behavior needs to be taken before its too late.

Beautiful beach but not at all taken care off. all the beach beds are broken no service but you have to pay 100 baht to the lady to enter supposedly for the sun chairs and a drink, but the drink fridge is empty and all trash and broken beach chairs. Guess the old women is just taking money from the tourists without putting any of it into fixing up the beach and amenities

loads of broken beach chairs, shades, junk....beach covered in jetsam...ok...it's not their fault, but it spoils the beach.

Upon arrival an old women who seems to guard the beach asked me to pay 100 baht. I said I want to see what the resorts and beach look like because I want to stay here for a few days and want to take photos for my travel blog as I promote travel to Thailand. She said no - must pay 100 baht. It’s not the money .... it’s the audacity and shark mentality to want money for me to promote this area and come stay here. I turned around and will never return again. In fact she soured my image of Koh Tao so I won’t return and I won’t promote this island.

Came here as i followed my GPS for a nice beach. You have to pay for the entrance but u also got a free soft drink. The beach was beautiful and not crowded. You can lay on the sand or find some beachchair. If hungry still have one restaurant over there. It was nice and good taste. Its up on the hill so u can see around too.

Got to the entrance to be greeted by the 100 baht man. . . . Smelled a rat, went back to the golden hill resort, and hey presto beach acces and no cost. . . . The beach was poor though, lots of rubbish . . . The restAurant golden hill was good food . . Don't pay the 100 baht . . .

I’ll don’t bother to take pictures of all the garbage at the beach. Look at the pictures already shared. Despite this they take 100 TBH as entry fee. The day we were there the collected the see grass than was laying in the sun and starting to smell. The snorkeling is god with a fairly good chance of seeing small sharks. I don’t recommend this Beach as it is.

Trash everywhere, in the water and all over the beach. Broken chairs. A natural treasure that could be stunning if the garbage and man made broken items are removed.

Nice beach. But hate the fact that you can't take your own alcohol. Plus the road really not user friendly. Fell off my bike. Still worth a visit. Not one of The Big Three.
