Upon arrival an old women who seems to guard the beach asked me to pay 100 baht. I said I want to see what the resorts and beach look like because I want to stay here for a few days and want to take photos for my travel blog as I promote travel to Thailand. She said no - must pay 100 baht. It’s not the money .... it’s the audacity and shark mentality to want money for me to promote this area and come stay here. I turned around and will never return again. In fact she soured my image of Koh Tao so I won’t return and I won’t promote this island.

Beautiful beach but not at all taken care off. all the beach beds are broken no service but you have to pay 100 baht to the lady to enter supposedly for the sun chairs and a drink, but the drink fridge is empty and all trash and broken beach chairs. Guess the old women is just taking money from the tourists without putting any of it into fixing up the beach and amenities

I’ll don’t bother to take pictures of all the garbage at the beach. Look at the pictures already shared. Despite this they take 100 TBH as entry fee. The day we were there the collected the see grass than was laying in the sun and starting to smell. The snorkeling is god with a fairly good chance of seeing small sharks. I don’t recommend this Beach as it is.

So sad that this small secluded beach that you pay to be able to sit on is so covered in liter, included in the 100TBH is a free drink. I’d much rather they didn’t give you the drink but used the money to clean up the beach and mend the broken loungers. If it’s a calm hot day the natural beauty is amazing and the if the sea is calm there is some nice coral. Such a shame humans have ruined it with leaving all their rubbish there. Leave it how you’d wish to find it.

Decided to go here today after reading the reviews and with it being a sunny day in Koh Tao. Taxi dropped us off down a steep road and we were charged 100bht each as the beach is private. We were given a free drinks voucher and told we could use the sun loungers for free which was great, we walked down on to the beach to which we were the only people there at 09.30am, none of the restaurants/shops were open so where exactly was we supposed to use the drinks voucher? The beach wasn't really clean or as attractive as others in Koh Tao, such as Freedom beach and Thian Og Bay, and the sea was quite rough. I appreciate it's low season but I just didn't understand the drinks voucher. I returned it back to the gentleman who then told me nothing would be opening. Maybe this is a beach to try in high season only, but for me it's was a no.

If you use a beautiful part of the island for your own profit by cashing a fee, at least pay back to the nature by keeping the beach clean.

This beach used to be beautiful 15 years ago..unfortunately now, there is a resort owner demanding 100bt just to access the beach. Which they are not meant to do in Thailand as all beaches are public, and technically and belong to the King !
There are several beaches trying to do this.
As far as I can tell, this money just goes in their pocket as no effort seems to be made to keep the beach clean. There is a lot of rubbish everywhere. Very sad that such a once beautiful beach has gone this way.

This island is actually really pretty, with decent accommodation and lots of scuba diving schools. But after staying here and travelling around SEA for 4 months we have spoken with people living here and people who have lived here, and a lot of these people have told us this island is not safe for anyone, that the island is ran by mafia who screw over the tourists, scam them and attack and assault them, then blame the Burmese island workers for the incidents. There are enough beautiful cool places in SEA to avoid this place, it's not worth the risk.

Me and my boyfriend went for a ride to this beach to see something new. I fell asleep for a while on the beach while my boyfriend quietly read his book and let me sleep. I had just woken up when this CRAZY man starts yelling and comes charging down the beach. We both sat up and wondered what was going on. The man picked up a big rock and was going to hit my boyfriend, screamed at us in Thai and was extremely aggressive. Then he turned to me and started moving forward towards me, trying to hit me with this rock. Me and my boyfriend grabbed our stuff and managed to get to our motorbikes and I left that place shaking... We had no idea what time it was but realised that it was a few minutes after 17 (this is when this "private" beach closes!!) I really don't understand his problem and I would not recommend anyone to go there. This man is not well and if you go.. don't bring ANY food or drinks and make sure you leave before 17.00, not one minute late!! I have read in other forums that he has attacked people with a machete. Like I said he is unstable and potentially dangerous so just avoid it, don't go!!!!!! There are a lot better beaches to go to....
