I was recommended DJL by someone that I met on my travels and I am really glad I followed his advice. I did my open water course with Alex, who made the dives really fun, and loved it so much that I stayed on to do the advanced open water course too. Everyone at DJL was really friendly, focused on... I took the Dive Shop Operations bundle course with Ed, the main man behind all the equipment servicing. I took the course with a fellow divemaster, as we both want to continue improving our knowledge of all things diving. Ed was super patient and walked us through every part of the course. He's pretty straight to the point with a... More

My friend and I did the equipment maintenance course with Ed at DJL. Ed was a great teacher as well as extremely knowledgeable and hilarious. We learned to service regulators, operate a compressor as well as blend nitrox and trimix. We learned a lot about dive equipment and ways to trouble shoot problems that occur. It was a very useful... The place is friendly and allows you numerous discounts to further your diving education . The staff is friendly and they do have excellent instructors to... More

I was lucky enough to do my open water (and subsequently advanced open water) with this fine establishment in July 2016. Bar seeing a 'big fish' (which was a whale shark) on my third dive the whole experience itself was brilliant. Our group were lucky enough to have the two British div's Alex and Matt and their Oz counterpart Shaun... More

I did the Open Water PADI course at DJL with 3 friends - we chose DJL on recommendation and because they were top on TripAdvisor. We had three instructors in a group of 6 - Alex, Shawn and Sam - and all three of them were absolutely fantastic over the 4 days of the course. Incredibly patient and very knowledgeable... More

Combing through the overwhelming number of dive shops on Koh Tao, my friend, who recently got his open water cert, recommended I check out DJL. I'm so glad I did! The staff are knowledgeable, professional, focused on learning and safety and a blast to hang out with, both on the water and at the DJL bar. Our instructor, Virginie, was... More

My friend signed me up for a fun dive before I even landed on the island. On the morning of the dive I arrived at the reception and was greeted with a friendly hello and introduced to my instructor. This was my first diving experience so I was more than a bit nervous. Not so much of the dive itself,... More
