I think if I had come to this resort 20 years ago it would have been something to marvel at.
I was really looking forward to visiting here and was so disappointed.
It’s getting like a mini Ibiza. Crap bars selling sugar infused drinks cheap,...More
This is the main pier when arriving at the Phi Phi Islands, it’s an impressive bay to arrive in and some beautiful cliffs and beach, considering the amount of boats though not sure I would want to swim in this bay. It’s crowded and you...More
This pier is where all the boats embark for the phi phi don island. So the bay near the pier is always pretty busy. If you walk down to the sides you can still enjoy the beach here but still the bay is pretty busy.
Best part of Phi Phi. No crowd! The water is warm and clear, but be aware there is a long tide. This means you have to plan when go to the beach. depend on the day and time the beach desapears completly! Or it may...More

Walking to the beaches (1 Replies)
Can anyone give me an idea of how far or how long it takes to walk from the shores of Ao Ton Sai to the shores of Ao Loh Dalam.

VERY fast! We are here now and it's literally 5 mins walk (slow meander as it is hot!). From the Cabana Hotel you can even see one at the front and one at the back so that's how narrow some of the spit is. In the town it's wider so 5 mins. Cheers
Ko Phi Phi Don Lodging (0 Replies)
Hello all and thank you for any advice! My husband and I are trying to figure out lodging on Phi Phi Island and are having a difficult time. We are looking for a midrange accomidation on a nice beach that is away from the tourist areas of Ao Lo Dalam and Ao Ton Sai, but also close enough that we can get to the action if we choose. We have heard great things about long beach (Hat Yao) but can't find any hotels that look nice and have moderate pricing. Does anybody have...More

Hat Yao (Long Beach) accomodation and ambience? (5 Replies)
We are visiting Ko Phi Phi in January. We would like to stay somewhere a little bit away from the night life/noise (ie: quiet at night for sleeping), but close enough to restaurants and shops to be able to get there in, say 15-20 minutes walk (or a long boat ride). We were considering the Long Beach, in particular the Paradise Pearl Resort. I think there are a few with similar names (this is the one: http://www.phiphiparadisepearl.com). 1. Does anyone have any thouights on this "resort"? ...More
