Depending on the time of year the beach is jam packed with tourists, but the trip still worthwhile. Around the islands the water is clear, warm and great for snorkeling. The water inside Maya Bay is quite white and milky from the high salt content...More

We visited on an early bird tour which was great. No big crowds but the bay was fairly busy with boats. Access should be limited but that aside, it is one of the most beautiful places I have been to.

The moment your boat enters between the rocks into the Bay Area the view is breath taking, the colour of the sea, the rocks and the sky is mesmerising Too many boats around makes it a very crowded place. Must visit!

On my 19 days travel I was waiting for this day like every second. However I have to say was not the highlight of my trip. The place is beautiful, but nowadays is so much overcrowded that it literally throws down our excitement. Loads of...More

The beach itself was very dirty a result from all the nightlife along the beach, very sad to see. Morning and early evening you can avoid much of the garbage and enjoy some sunbathing on an amazing beach. Plenty of kayaks for rent and long...More

It’s nice to spend the morning/afternoon there but not too much time cus there is nothing on the island. The place is tiny but nice and relaxing. When a lot of tourists get on the island it’s very crowded but worth the visit

On the news the other day it said for FOUR months. Also as an FYI Phi Phi will also be virtually shut down as it’s the close season when they build and repair for next season starting in November.

Yes it is unfortunately closed. I would personally suggest you to look at Krabi, over PhiPhi islands. Its less explored, secluded & a place to be as a couple to enjoy the togetherness

It’s unfortunate you will miss Maya Bay when you visit but so many other places to enjoy so don’t let that spoil or change your plans. Back in March we were based on Bangtao Beach in Phuket and went on 3 tours in total... More
