Long boat toke us from Phi Phi Village. Wow wow is all we could say. Snorkeling was awesome. Water is clear and lovely to swim in. Fishes surround you, many kinds of fish to view, they accept you and swim close by. Please please go...More
The Ko Phi Phi Le is a must visit when in Phuket or Krabi. This is the smaller of the 2 main islands off the coast in Krabi province. This is an excellent option for snorkeling. We managed to see many beautiful fishes here. Can...More
Be sure to take a tour ride to this uninhabited island just south of Ko Phi Phi Don. We snorkel so had the best of both worlds. There is beauty around every turn and incredible fish viewing if you snorkel. We were lucky to see...More
Absolutely stunning island and nature, even though the "Beach" was closed because of chinese tourists as per our guide, we felt it was good that nature was being protected, we did snorkeling and beach hopping, magical island and go there early, much less traffic.
It’s a beautiful island however felt it was overrated. Too crowded n didn’t get a chance to spend time on “The Beach” island where Leonardo DiCaprio movie was filmed. There was really no time to take everything in n enjoy the beautiful place for what...More
For the preservation of the eco-life and eco-system restoration, Phi Phi Island has now been closed from tourists or locals. Whilst I’m sad I missed the closure by a month, I’m also really happy because well, nature before tourism. We did use a travel boat...More

My girlfriend and I are hoping to see Maya Bay early in the morning, before it becomes slammed with tourists, and it seems the best way to do that is by private speedboat charter. I’m expecting the cost to be around 12,000 BHT total for the day. We are open to going any time in the next 3 days. Is anyone interested in splitting cost by sharing a boat? If so, PM me. Cheers, Chris Cerami

I would expect the cost to be at least double that and more like triple, where did you get 12,000 from?
Camping possible or not possible?? (3 Replies)

Koh Phi Phi Ley is inhabitable without water resources. Maya bay has a sand strip, but no fresh water resources. The rest of the island is rocky with shear cliffs.
Travel Itinerary (4 Replies)
Hi, I need advice with our travel itinerary. We're two female 25s, visiting December 27th - 5th January. 27th Dec - 1st January - Bangkok ( we have been advised that it is the best place to spend NYE in Thailand - infront of the central world clock with live bands and fireworks) Just for the 'experience' we will go to Pattaya 28th Dec in the morning ( not sure how far it is from Bangkok ) and go to the walking street at night. We will spend the night in Pattaya and return to Bangkok...More

So 6 days in Bangkok with a overnight side trip to Pattaya. That's ok. BTW, it takes about 2 hours to get to Pattaya via taxi or bus from Bangkok. 3 days Phuket. Which beach? Or just stay on Patong beach which has the majority of nightlife, restaurants, hotels. Fly to Phuket from Bangkok. Going from Phuket to Phi phi is ok but alot of moving around. You could do a daytrip to Phi Phi via ferry, jet boat whatever. Krabi a little furthur and you may be able to get a boat to there from...More
