I stumbled upon Five Star Thailand online while planning my trip to Thailand, and it turned out to be the perfect tour for us! I decided to reach out to them via WhatsApp, and to my delight, they responded promptly. We reserved a private boat tour with just a deposit, unlike other companies that required full payment upfront. I appreciated the flexibility!
A month later, when we arrived in Thailand, Five Star kept us well-informed with messages leading up to our tour. On the morning of our adventure, we met our fantastic guide, Fon.
Fon was absolutely amazing, and having her as our guide made the experience even more special. Her fluency in English allowed us to learn so much about the Phi Phi Islands. She even delved into the intriguing history of the Viking Cave with such detail!
Snorkeling was definitely a highlight of our trip. Since we had a private tour, we had the freedom to snorkel for as long as we wanted without any time constraints from a group. Fon joined us in the water and pointed out numerous clownfish that we somehow missed on our own! We visited a total of four different snorkeling spots, and after our underwater adventures, we refueled with a delightful brunch by the beach.
There's so much more to rave about—like the fresh pineapple slices provided on the boat! This tour was truly unforgettable, and one I’ll never forget. While the cost may be slightly higher than other boat tours, it's well worth it for the personalized experience. Having your own boat and guide makes you feel like a V.I.P! Highly recommend it!

Had the most incredible experience yesterday on our sunrise boat tour of the islands. Rut, our guide, met us at our hotel, helping us with our bags and sorting our breakfast. We were travelling to Phuket in the afternoon so she helped us store our bags so we could collect them after.
We headed to the boat where we met Jack, the captain, and set sail. Here we enjoyed our coffee, croissant, and chicken wings! I don’t know if this is the usual breakfast or Rut’s spur of the moment decision but 6am chicken wings when sober are pretty dam good 😂
Rut immediately got us set up for sunrise photos, and she took some brilliant shots, directing us for the best pictures the entire boat trip. She told us loads of interesting facts about the islands and areas and helped me snorkel - a great teacher! We got stung a little by the sea honey (apparently common) and Rut was on hand with all the ailments. Lots of cold water too!
We visited Maya Bay first (extra 400B) where we were only there with other private boats. There were still many of us but much less than the usual apparently. Then we sailed by Viking Cafe, and into a cosy little bay (can’t remember the name), stopped to see the monkeys and snorkel on Monkey Island, went swimming in Pi Leh Bay, more snorkelling before finishing with a tasty restaurant lunch on Long Beach.
Rut then sorted our transport to Phuket and hotel for us meaning the rest of the day was stress free. Made even better by the lady at the tour shop kindly let us shower and freshen up before our boat left. Honestly loved every second and it was made even better thanks to Rut! Ask for her when you next go.
I’d highly recommend the sunrise package with a guide too. We missed a lot of the big crowds and felt properly supported and guided the whole way round. My only advice, wear swim shoes if you have (but not essential), lots of suncream especially after swimming 😎 and use the life jacket when snorkelling as it’s so much easier!

This experience was truly a highlight of our honeymoon! Having the freedom to explore Koh Phi Phi at our own pace was exactly what we desired, without feeling rushed by anyone. I would encourage anyone who is able to, to pick this private tour.
Our Guide, Mint went above and beyond to assist us—calling her helpful would be an understatement. She was the nicest and most helpful tour guide we've encountered, not just in Thailand, but anywhere else in the world. We're immensely grateful for the time we got to spend with Mint, we had an absolute blast!
On the tour we were guided to some fantastic snorkeling spots and we were even lucky enough to encounter an array of marine life, we saw fish, sea turtles, and to my surprise we even spotted a group of baby reef sharks! We had so much fun that we couldn't resist booking another tour the following day– and actually did the James Bond Tour too! Also with Mint!
One of the most unforgettable moments was spending time in Maya Bay as the sun set. This was one of the perks of starting our tour at Phi Phi Don. In the afternoon we saw the beach (maya) begin to quieten down as the boats left and returned to Phuket and other places. It was one of those magical moments we'll cherish forever!
After sunset, we dove into the water near Maya Bay to witness the plankton glowing. It shines all around you as you swim in the darkness!
Thank you once again to our Guide Mint, our boatman: Captain Jake/Jack? And thankyou to Five Star Thailand for the unforgettable memories, amazing experience, and hassle free– fun trip to the Phi Phi Islands!

I booked the private boat trip as a solo experience and I would definateley recommend to book a private trip to explore Phi Phi Island. Everything was well organized prior to the trip as well as the whole trip from pick up to drop ofd at the hotel. My guide was Love and Rode drove the Longtail. They took care that everything runs smoothly the whole day (including small reminders to not forget sunscreen from time to time😊) Love made sure to be at the best spots with the right timing to avoid crowds as much as possible and showed great spots for snorkeling as well. It was my first snorkeling experience and I saw two Baby Sharks as well as Nemo. So if you want to enjoy a great day around Phi Phi including a great photographer to take home some memories, do not hesitate to book this Tour!

We had the most amazing tour. We booked a sunset tour setting off at noon. Although the weather was far from ideal (mainly cloudy with spots of rain), our tour guide, Love, was incredibly helpful throughout.
He made sure to plan a route that factored in the conditions and we got to see the best sights at the best times on the day, all whilst giving us the fantastic history of Maya Bay, Monkey Beach, Viking Cave, etc.
Even though Love tried to pray it into existence we were unable to see the sunset due to the cloud cover. Even that would not deter me from rating this as a 5 star experience and I would recommend to anyone looking to explore the Phi Phi islands!
He made sure to plan a route that factored in the conditions and we got to see the best sights at the best times on the day, all whilst giving us the fantastic history of Maya Bay, Monkey Beach, Viking Cave, etc.

We discovered Five Star Tours online and reached out via Whatsapp, where they were quick to reply to us. We chose to do the sunset tour package because we were keen to see the Glowing Plankton which we had heard so much about.
Our guide was Lee who graciously picked us up from the Saii Resort around midday, we spent the first few hours of the tour exploring different beaches and snorkeling spots. Lee said it was best to visit Maya Bay later in the tour, because it’s much quieter closer to sunset - and he was absolutely correct!!
Throughout the tour Lee would constantly check in with us to make sure we were able to visit all the places we had hoped to, we were served fresh pineapples during the tour and we even stopped for lunch at a small boutique restaurant by the sea.

We had the most amazing and magical day! Our guide Boom met us at the boat terminal and made special arrangements so that our handicapped son was able to get on the speedboat carefully and comfortably with his walking scooter. She was caring, fun, knowledgeable and very well organized. The tour on the long tail boat was perfect. We went to several of the most beautiful spots, swam, snorkeled, got to see and feed monkeys some bananas we had brought, and had lunch at a fantastic spot with breathtaking views. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone that wants a more personalized experience away from the crowds. It was worth every penny and more!

Let’s start by saying my wife and I absolutely loved this tour with Five Star. As soon as we booked, we were contacted through What’s Apps to confirm the tour and to answer any question we had. I had a couple questions about travel times and pick up location and was totally put at ease with quick replies. The morning of, we were met by Mr. Sub and his awesome well air conditioned van. When then met with Boom (our tour guide). She was incredible. Great English speaker too. She literally took care of everything for us. This includes the speed boat ferry to Phi Phi Don (which is very helpful since it can get a little hectic at the marina). Once out on the tour, Boom gave us all the flexibility we wanted. If we wanted to stay at monkey beach for longer or Maya bay for shorter, it was no problem. Guess that’s the service you get with your own private tour. If there is one negative, it’s that I would recommend putting a disclaimer on the tour brochure about returning earlier than schedule. My wife and I were pretty exhausted from all our travels so we wanted to return 2 hours earlier than schedule. Boom absolutely squared us away. But, we had to pay another 1,000 baht per person to ride a different speed boat back. Which does make sense because the boat back was already paid for. However, if five star does negotiate to get that money back, I hope it goes to Boom because she deserves all the credit for making our tour what it was. Thanks Boom!!!!

Our tour with Five Stars Phi Phi tour was pure magic, thanks to our incredible guide, Poom. His infectious enthusiasm and laid-back personality made us feel instantly relaxed.
Poom went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. He catered to our every request, adjusting the itinerary seamlessly. The highlight of the Phi Phi Islands was a secret spot which Poom took us too. We were told the name was Warhlong Bay, it resembled Pileh Lagoon in everyway, the only difference, no other boats! It seems that this location was not as well know and Poom timed it so we even had around 10 minutes in the hidden lagoon when we were the only boat! I'm sure luck was on our side too, but it was a magical experience.
Our longtail boat offered a pure Thai experience, with shade in the middle of the boat, the captains area at the back , and a wooden seating area in the open sun too. Refreshment were provided for us. And the lunch was more than we were expecting.
This tour was ideal for couples seeking a romantic adventure. We felt like we had the islands to ourselves, creating memories that will forever treasure. Five Star Phi Phi is a must, and Poom is the ultimate guide for an unforgettable experience! We can't thank you guys enough for experience.

Our friends invited my boyfriend and I to join them on their Thailand trip, and Phi Phi island hopping was part of their itinerary. Luckily after much thorough research, we booked Five Star Thailand months in advanced. We were not disappointed at all! I was so excited when Ruth greeted us, because I heard such great things about her in the reviews! Super friendly and easy to speak with because we were able to converse in English. She told us the history of each island we saw, and accommodated us to locations where it was less crowded to give us opportunities for lots of snorkeling, amazing photos, and more. The time went by so fast, because she helped make the island hopping so fun for our first time visiting Phi Phi. We put our full trust in her and she cared for us so dearly. I definitely recommend booking your tour with her! She’s been doing this for about 10 years, so you can see the love and passion she has for Phi Phi!
