Originally thought this would be your standard chavy booze cruise sold but it very much exceeded expectations.
The cruise was fantastic from a social, views and experience point of view.
You can attend this cruise for the sights alone or also attend if you want a fun filled day drinking, partying and meeting new people.
You visit 4/5 different sites, have the opportunities to kayak or snorkel at the lagoon and see the sunset when returning to phi phi.
The staff were great, the food was basic but satisfactory and we bought our own drink which saved us all a lot of money.
Amazing day all in all many memories were made and would 100% do this again with friends or partner.

I’ve never been a fan of party boats and was a little reluctant to go on this trip, thinking it would just be a bunch of teenagers downing shots, but my friends Danny, Julius, Ryan and Ducky ensured me that I would be missing out if I sat this one out.
Best decision I made my whole trip on Phi Phi. Firstly the boat is awesome, packed with kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkelling gear to use at the various beaches and lagoons that the trip visits. They have a great selection of fairly priced drinks on board and cater for adults and families. The music throughout the day was great with enough variety to keep everyone happy.
The staff on board were very friendly and Veronica does a great job of helping everyone have an awesome experience.
During the day we visited several beaches / lagoons including the famous Maya Bay from “The Beach” movie. However, the highlight was Phi Lay Lagoon, where we had the opportunity to kayak around a simply stunning lagoon for an hour just before sunset.
There was a little storm on the way back, but that somehow added to the atmosphere with everyone dancing and drinking together to some absolute classic tracks.
Wonderful day, highly recommend, will go again!

We wanted something that would show us the surrounding beautiful islands near Phi Phi while having some fun but we didn’t fancy a full on booze cruise and this was a perfect fit!
Drinking is acceptable but definitely not required on this boat and both of us enjoyed some beers while sailing around, stopping off at monkey beach, maya beach, bamboo island etc.
Our favourite part was that the boat comes equipped with snorkels, kayaks & paddle boards and they stop for an hour and let you explore using them. They even feed you! We thought it was great value for money.
Not sure If it’s the case every day but our tour was mostly Brazilian tourists and the hosts too were Brazilian so we were some of the only English speakers there which we were a bit sad about but everyone was lovely so not a real problem!

We booked two boats and they seemed very nice. We went out night snorkeling. We had an agreed price with the owner who had confirmed the amount. We paid that amount to one captain. The other boat with our friends were held hostage and then a speed showed up demanding they pay more money before they would let our friends get off the boat. The company would not make it right. Buyer beware!

I had a great time aboard the pirate ship! Great, positive vibes from the people working there, with the sunset party being one of my favourite parts - dancing while watching the sun go down in the distance. You also get the chance to do some kayaking in a lagoon, visit Monkey Island, and go cave exploring. A great way to spend a day!

A unique experience, enjoying the highlights of Phi Phi Islands while partying. Along the way, one can enjoy drinks in the shade or in the sun on the Pirate Ship, which also has toilets on board. At each stop, one can do snorkeling and kayaking.
As sunset approaches, dinner is served and then the party continues.
The staff and animators are very friendly, joyful, and real party makers!

We had such a great day with Captain Victor, Ole and the crew. Saw all the amazing attractions, snorkelled, drank cocktails and danced up a storm on the way back. Highly recommend to anyone…much better than a long boat tour! 🤿 🍹🕺

So many things were wrong with this tour. But first: the boat LEFT ME BEHIND at one of the stops, Maya Bay. This means they didn’t bother to do a count at each stop. They also did not bother to clearly communicate a time table.
Lets start from the beginning. the tour met at a bar at 1pm and headed to the boat at 1:30pm. They had us drop our sandals off in a basket as we got onto the boat, which was a mistake for me because the motorboat at our first stop (Monkey Beach) parked next to some rocks. Right as I stepped off I badly scraped my foot against a bunch of rocks.
After passing by Viking Cave we went straight to Maya Bay, approaching from the Loh Samah Bay entrance, where you have to swim across rocky shallow waters and climb up a rope net. All big boats have to take this approach during this time of the year (July), so take a speedboat tour if you want to avoid this, since speedboats can go directly inside Maya Bay. Because we had to swim, I tried to take one of the provided masks and snorkels with me, and one of the staff said I couldn't bring it. I asked the staffer if we'd have to swim and he said no, even though we clearly had to in order to get to the rope net! I ended up scraping my knee while trying to keep my head above water. Maya Bay was also beautiful and I was disappointed I could not swim around with the mask and snorkel that was supposed to be provided!
We arrived at Maya Bay around 3:30pm. At 5pm I noticed everyone was gone and rushed back only to see the tour boat leaving me behind! I guess we only had one hour for the beach, which is FAR too rushed. I was always ON the beach and nobody walked around to announce the tour was leaving. I had to call the office and they sent a boat back to get me. Because of this, I mostly missed snorkeling in Pileh Lagoon. One of my electronics also got ruined because the waterproof box they used to transport items while swimming in Loh Samah Bay wasn't available on the boat they sent.
Then we ate dinner at sunset. Except we were on the wrong side of the island and didn’t see anything. The "dinner" just consisted of bland vegetarian fried rice. We arrived back at 7pm.
Most of the staff were Thai. Only one or two staff were native English speakers. The tour flyer also claimed fruit was included for free, but on the boat we had to pay for it. There were around 70 people on the boat.
Basically, avoid this tour. Consider taking a speedboat tour.

All expectations exceeded! We have two families (3 adults and 2 eight year olds) that visited Thailand for Chinese New Year. So, we came with the goal of fun in the sun.
The crew was awesome! The customer service paralleled American customer service; simply stellar. The attractions were on point too. In comparison to the other companies hustling out here in Phi Phi Island, I ONLY recommend this company. The pricing was spot on too.
Book this company!

If you're looking for a great way to se the islands and have a nice time! Then this is for you! Definitely the one of the most fun things done on this island. Bar, great music, good company. Water, coffee and tea is included, snacks and food as well! Just bring money for the bar, don't forget the beer when you get to visit the beach!

Is it good for family with kids, 4 and 7 years old? Do they have small kids size life jackets?

Generally kids don't go but for them no issues. They might not have very small life jackets and kids have to find smallest from their bin and need to adjust

My partner and I are staying on Phi Phi at the end of June this year for two nights and we're really interested in doing the Pirate Boat! Will we get tickets or will the demand be too high? Also, what is the approximate price per person?

Hi Monika.
Yes our boat is a big boat and we have life jackets and good staff on board.
You can talk with the staff when you buy tickets at Relax bar so they know before you go. Relax bar is located behind Yellow Bank or you can ask some tour agency.
You can also go to Facebook: Phi Phi Pirate Boat for more info and question.
