I was apprehensive about taking a yoga class because I'm older and I was never flexible even younger. But I enjoyed the yoga classes at Blooming Lotus. They are beginner friendly. The instructors were super nice and helpful. One day there was a snake in the yoga storage closet and she still kept her composure and taught the class ! I didn't feel bad or out of place. I wanted a in person class to get a good start and Blooming Lotus gave this to me. The afternoon class is slower and more Yin than the morning class. I stayed at Bamboo Huts which was super convenient and Bamboo Huts makes some great food too. …

This was truly a life transforming retreat for me. Which I didn't expect to be honest! I feel so honoured and blessed to have practiced and learnt from Michelle and Satya - wonderful and gorgeous people! Not only did my yoga practice progress more than I could have hoped, my own personal journey through their guided meditation and teachings was immense. I feel reborn, rejuvenated, grateful, blessed and happy. Thank you. I highly recommend this retreat for anyone, regardless of level or what you are looking for. Sometimes it's the things you don't realise you are looking for which surprise and change you the most. Love to you all and see you next time <3 xx…

If you're considering a retreat - go here! I went 4 months ago and I think about the retreat most days. It's an awesome, unpretentious feel and suits yoga teachers or beginners that have never done yoga before. Just give it a go! It will change your life.

This place is magical for so many reasons! Stay Sunday to Sunday. (Saturday night is a LOUD party on the beach and you don't want this your first night. The beach is beautiful. The yoga Shala is up on the hill looking out over the jungle. Bamboo huts accommodation are basic, but it's all part of the retreat to see how you deal when your creature comforts are taken away. Francie and Eleanna do an amazing job of running this wonderful retreat - it is excellent value for money! …

My partner and I attended this retreat at the beginning of July. We both did a bit of yoga and wanted to deepen our practice and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Nestled in the jungle a stone throw away from the most beautiful beach on the island is the Sharla where us yogis spent our days. It is delightfully organised and gives you lots of different options in regards to yoga. Neither myself or my partner were big into meditation but it was a real treat to mediate every day. Both the teachers are amazing, Francie the passionate Canadian who has a love for yoga and spirituality and Ellanah the Mother Earth who's demeanour could calm any storm. The two put together work like yin and yang! I couldn't recommend this place anymore. We had the time of our lives, learnt so much about ourselves and about yoga, and to top it all off everyone we did the retreat with were amazing and we have all become good friends! If your in koh phangan and are looking to do some yoga, want to be next to the most beautiful beach of all the islands and are ready for a challenge then this place is for you. So much love for Francie and Ellanah. Andrew and Daniel. …
