About Just for Fun - Canopy Adventure
Dear TripAdvisor users, After being closed since September 1st 2015, due to unsuccessful takeover by the company "Flight of the Gibbon", the activity will officially restart on April 1st 2018 under new management. The new park offers 1 suspended bridge (30m), 3 short ziplines (30-40m), 1 staircase, 1 ladder and 1 long zipline (450m). The highest platform is about 40m high. The tour takes about 1 hour to complete. You may then relax at our beautiful sea view bar and fish spa.

Our family decided to do the zipline on Sunday, but only my son and I actually did it. My daugter hurt her back on the Slip and Fly earlier in the week, and my wife decided to wait with her. All as well, because there is a part of the zipline that is very flat, and you have to pull yourself back up to the otherside. The staff was very professional. One negative is that on the 500m part there is a tree about 25% of the way through, and even my son that is weighing less than me caught it a bit. I on the other hand hit it a little harder which caused me to loose control a bit, and I end up hitting my hand on the cable and burn it a bit. So caution if you are weighing more than 90, you might hit the top of a tree a bit :) I ended up with a little cable burn mark on my hand, but that was the worst of it. It was a cool experience (maybe a little short), and the scenery were beautiful.

Joe and his brother looked after two oldies very well on the zip line and we thoroughly enjoyed it. They also took us on the back of their quad bikes across very rough terrain through the rainforest (we weren’t brave enough to drive ourselves) and it was great fun

As a local Thai resident, I have tired all the zip lines on Phangan, Phuket, Samui and most of the north as well. After experiences with these many places, I can honestly say that Just for Fun is the best customer service, top of the line equipment, and a view that needs to be seen first hand. The kind owners also have an ATV tour that allows any visitor to see a side of Phangan that is, sadly, often overlooked. The beauty of the island can be experienced, first hand, either from the skies above, or on the back roads, lead by a man with a truly great heart and an in depth knowledge of the local scene.

The best part of this zip line is currently closed. However they will do the small zip drops and make you drag yourself back UP the zip line. CRAZY. nice staff but dangerous as some of our group could not get back and ended up stuck in the middle of the zip line. They needed many attempts to rescue the stranded person. AVOID IF NOT FULL OPEN.

Hello, Very sorry for your experience, indeed the place was supposedly closed for renovation. Also, considering your overweight condition, you should not have been permitted to climb. This is could possibly be considered a wrong doing from the staff present on site, as the direction was absent. But if I may, the term dangerous seems inappropriate here. Going backwards on a zipline may happen sometimes and does under no circumstances constitutes a dangerous situation, since the cables and harnesses may hold several tons. Finally, the zipline you were on is short (30m) and flat, which means 95% of people can drag themselves back up easily. Your physical condition made it difficult, so it took the staff some time to go get a rope to help you. If you agree with this point of view, we would very much appreciate that you delete, correct or re-evaluate your rating. Yours respectfully, The Direction
