Francie is an amazingly talented yogateacher and just a very nice person to be around. She shares her wisdom in such a charismatic way that it really ignites a spark.
She has a personal approach and really takes her time for you. She knows how to create a safe and loving space. And bonus: she has a beautiful voice! Thanks Francie.

Great yoga and meditation experience! Amazing teachers and a stunning setting. Highly recommended! I loved it!
Since September I've been meditating daily and this is partly your fault:-)
I set this goal during my retreat and it worked!
I've been trying to meditate regularly for years but each time I started, I stopped shortly after.
This time it worked and I'm so happy! It really changes something in your life. Now I feel more relaxed, more resilient, more balanced and happier.

I went on a retreat with Francie at Pure Flow Yoga a year and a half ago. The place was magical. But mostly, she was really inspiring to me.
I recently did a coaching session with her. It was really wonderful and empowering! Totally recommend Francie and Pure Flow Yoga!

I had a lovely retreat week at Pure Flow Yoga. We had a wonderful group, the shala and location were amazing, the yoga classes where good, some challenging, some really relaxing. We learned a lot about yoga and meditation and did some other fun things as well like singing and a sunrise hike. I do feel however that there could be some improvement. It was disappointing that all the classes during the retreat we had where drop-in classes, some being so full there was hardly any space. Also, the website states ''7 days, 6 nights retreat'' while in fact the retreat is just 5 full days. I was not the only one who was surprised by this. And lastly, I found it very rude to be asked to leave a 5 star review! We got asked this during class, and the sign outside says the same thing. So here is a three star review, because I can say I did have an amazing week and will benefit from what i've learned and practiced for the rest of my life, and the classes were great and i'd recommend hopping by, but I wouldn't recommend doing a retreat here. Namaste!

Hi Alana,
Thanks for taking the time to leave your honest review. I'm happy to hear you had an amazing time and have taken some life-long benefits, practices and connections with you.
I'm sorry for the disappointment you experienced. As it happened, we had our busiest drop-in classes on record for that one week in August in which you attended. it was unusual and I completely understand your frustration and will try to plan better for that next year.
In terms of the 7 days / 6 nights. We changed to this format last year in alignment with all of the 3rd party websites we work with, like "bookretreats" and "bookyogaretreats", who count the arrival and departure date. Because of our remote location, its important for people to plan to arrive the night before we start and leave the day after we finish. On our website, and in the 4 pre-retreat emails we send you, we outline in detail the program and make clear mention of this. For 6 months we offered a grounding flow class on Sundays, however we had zero attendance from retreat students who all felt they needed time to land and unpack that day after the travel. That being said, I will do my best to see how we can make this more clear for people who don't have time to read the details.
I'd also like to make mention that our robust, immersive and progressive program, which runs 5.5 hours each day Monday - Friday, goes above and beyond what most ongoing retreats are offering. On top of that, I believe that the value of having a community to go through this progressive journey and teachers along with you on that journey, providing individual feedback, provides a lot more value than simply having 3-4 random classes you can go to as a result of being at a big retreat center. This is what I feel sets us apart and what keeps some students coming back year after year.
Finally, every week I ask students that if you feel that this retreat made a difference in your life, to please leave us a positive 5 star review as this really truly helps us maintain existence and we beyond appreciate that. I am sorry you feel offended by my asking and thank you for pointing this out. I will share this more mindfully in the future.
As a very small solopreneur business, in a sea of of plenty of other retreat companies and Yoga schools with lots more money and resources than we have, I am doing my best and everything I can to try and maintain the existence of our school here so that it can thrive and be a beacon and haven for awakening to peace, joy, compassion, and love for students and teachers alike to connect with Yoga, Nature and Community.
Hope all of this helps and thanks again.
Sending lots of Love to you Alana

I planned to stay for the one-week-retreat but ended up staying over 10 days. Pure Flow is paradise-like!
YOGA
The yoga classes are well structured, the content is carefully and wisely chosen and the shala is amazing. We had the loveliest teachers and every day was special in its own way. The teachers are well trained and kind. Our group was extremely harmonic and we got along really well so that the farewell was not easy. I will never forget this week!
FOOD
Wow! The food at the bamboo is splendid. Fresh, super healthy vegetables and fruits and super amazing shakes and juices. I enjoyed it SO MUCH! The waiters were super friendly and the entire atmosphere was familial and super chill!
ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation was simple/basic but clean. During the week it was super quiet and one can sleep very deep there. You get used to the lower comfort level very quickly - you only have what you really need. I enjoyed this basic lifestyle a lot.
Wifi is available for an extra charge, which was not uncomfortable at first but supported the relaxation even more!
AREA
Since you can only reach Haad Yuan by boat it is not crowded, moreover, the crowd hanging out there is super special, super friendly and open-minded.
MASSAGES/STEAM BATH
The most amazing treat is the massage at Pam's as well as the steam bath at the Sanctuary. You should also try the delicious cake at the sanctuary as well as the cacao ceremony!
NIGHTLIFE
Visit the party spots on Friday and Saturday night - amazing!

From all the Yoga retreats available I chose this one because of the wonderfull location, the intimacy of small groups and the real yoga spirit with simple bungalows and a lot of meditation practice. I got all of this and a lot more. You cannot describe it, you have to feel it yourself: This place, the teachers and the community is pure magic! My 2 weeks at pure flow helped me a lot at a difficult point in my life and was, by the way, a lot of fun :)
Thank you magic people Francie, Ellanah and Sophie and my beautiful 2 week group members for lots and lots of love and everything!

I love the Pure Flow Yoga retreat and highly recommend to my friends to try to gift time to themselves to go on this retreat.
The skill level of attendees varies from beginners to qualified yoga teachers. The teachers adapt the sequences to your level. If you are open to the experiences offered you will leave the retreat feeling rejuvenated mentally and physically.
I first visited this studio in 2015 when it was Blooming Lotus. I returned July 2017 for one week and extended my stay for a second week.
I have been unable to exercise properly for the last year due to illness. Since my recovery I have felt weak. I returned to the the incredible tri beach area (Haad Yuan, Haad Thein, and Wai Nam), raw food at Sanctuary, and this magical jungle yoga studio for rejuvenation. Two weeks of doing yoga with Francie and Selena were transformative for me.
The accommodations are simple huts situated in a well cared for garden. (cold shower, fan, bucket flush). Staff are friendly and helpful.
The Thai and international food at Bamboo is yummy and the pricier options at Sanctuary are ideal for more restricted dietary needs.
I never used a plastic bottle during my two week stay. You can refill your water bottle for free at the studio and at Sanctuary, and for a small fee at Bamboo. Awesome.
Getting to Bamboo is a bit of a journey. Depending which route you take, it can use up half a day to a whole day of travel. Plan your trip carefully and read the ferry time tables before you purchase a plane ticket. The wiki travel page for Koh Pha Ngan, explains clearly the options for getting to the island.
Other things to note. There is a popular bar near Bamboo that has loud all night parties one or two nights a week. I was fast asleep by 10pm so this was not a problem for me. My friend listened to an audio book with ear buds to bypass the noise.
Also, sometimes the mosquitos go on the attack, so bug spray is a must.
Lastly, I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to spend two weeks at the retreat. The teachers, beaches, food, and people are amazing value for your time and money.

Francie and the PureFlow team exude loving kindness and keep giving more than what was advertised, making this retreat an amazing deal... to be frank, it should be more expensive.
I had the good fortune of being in a small group retreat which was amazing, as it meant lots of super helpful attention from the (great!!) teachers for me as someone at the beginning of the yoga journey. We had a lot of time to ask questions and get support and help in a absolutely judgement free zone. The morning and evening classes were open for drop ins, but never felt crowded, and I felt that teachers would always pay extra attention to retreat guests.
This retreat is not just about doing yoga asana classes (although you will learn *a lot* about postures - regardless if you’re new like me or more experienced like some of the other guests) but also takes ample time to explain yogic philosophy (mostly without being too esoteric for science-minded folks), breathing and meditation techniques. Francie has spent so much time optimizing the retreat experience that it is hard to suggest things to improve here.
I stayed in the standard accommodation at Bamboo Huts (the hits are not part of the retreat operation) and the rooms are simple (as advertised - but clean and in a pretty setting), so if that isn’t your thing you might want to upgrade to a higher standard accommodation, which is also available.
Looking back, I feel like I substantially underpaid for what I received during my week there. Francie even throws in a 21-day program after the retreat, on how to integrate the practice into day to day life (something she could, and maybe should) sell as an add-on.
I don’t write recommendations often, even when I am being asked, but PureFlow has really and sincerely earned their five stars.

I just had the best two weeks at Pure Flow thanks to the beautiful surroundings, brilliant teachers and programme and company of fellow retreaters. It's located in the middle of the jungle, at what I think is the best beach on Koh Phangan, which really allowed me to connect back to nature, switch off and clear my mind of all distractions. Francie and Sophie are both so wise and kind with a very human touch that made me feel instantly at ease and free of judgement. The yoga felt amazing and I learned so much that I'll be integrating into my life both on and off the mat. Most other retreaters were travelling alone so we all forged a strong connection that brought a real sense of community. I was being a bit indecisive before booking but I'm so glad I did, I've learned so much about myself and my excitement for life has returned!

Is it easy to get to your resort? I would be travelling from Bangkok. Thanks. E
Written April 8, 2018
Hi there, forgiveness for the late reply. Did not see that there was messages here. The easiest way to reach our location is by flying to Ko Samui, then taking a ferry to Koh Phangan, and then A taxi boat to a remote location. There’s more info on our website if you want to check that out. Hope that helps!
