It's everything what you can expect from a cooking class. Starting from buying fresh veggies and herbs, ending with your own Thai dishes. Love it. Oy, the chef, is very knowledgeable, warm and open cook who will reveal some of best kept secrets. I really enjoyed the time with her and I can highly recommend this class!

We took a cooking class with Chef Oy on New Years Eve and it’s was a highlight of our trip. We were part of a group of 8, and chose the 4 course option for 1500 THB. Everyone must decided on the same appetizer but you are free to choose your own dishes after that. My partner and I learned a total of 6 incredible dishes, and are bringing the recipes home with us. Chef Oy is very knowledgeable and it was a treat being able to visit the market with her to learn about the local ingredients for our dishes. I highly recommend, it’s an experience you won’t forget.

I highly recommend this cookery class. Myself and my boyfriend attended this class last week and had so much fun. To begin with we were brought to a grocery shop to get fresh ingredients and were taught about different Thai ingredients and spices. We were then brought to a kitchen where we prepared and ate our dishes. They were absolutely delicious, even nicer than what we have tried in Thailand so far. The lady was also really kind and we had a good laugh with her. Would recommend to anyone. - from Ireland !

This was a wonderful experience which included selecting and purchasing fresh ingredients from the market, preparing the ingredients and learning to cook three delicious Thai meals. I made Satay Chicken, Red Chicken Curry and Holy Basil Pork. There are a wide range of options to choose from and vegetarian/ vegan options to learn too. Thank you so much, I really enjoyed my time learning with you.

If you want to learn cooking Thai food, this would be a good choice.
They offer the possibility to do it in the morning (9 am) or afternoon (4 pm). Prices are either 1200 THB (3 dishes) or 1500 (4 dishes). We were recommended to do it in the morning since the food in the market would be fresher than in the afternoon.
The class starts off going by bike to the market, which is a good experience. You get to see loads of local products, curry paste, how they do the coconut milk, etc.
Then you head back to the place, and the cooking lessons start.
They are really interesting, you choose what you want to cook, and it's really entertaining. The only downside to it I'd say it gets really warm in the establishment. Nothing you can do against this though!
Good choice if you want to learn Thai cooking!

Learned how to make an appetizer and 2 main Thai courses (I chose tom yum soup and pad see ew, and there are many many options) in an afternoon. Chef Oy really took care to make sure we understood what we were doing - not just to make the dish this time, but also know ingredients we can use at home. The trip to the market was fun and she treated us to some fruit and when we saw something we were interested in, she bought it for us. We tried sweet tamarind, rose apples, dragon fruit, and chicken crepes. She was very nice, as were the other people at the restaurant helping out. The groups are kept small. Her English is great, and she has an uncanny ability to keep track of everyone's recipes at the same time and spend enough time with each person even though we were all making different recipes.

Chef Oy will also arrange pickup (for a small price) if you need to get to the class. Just give her a call! This class is a great activity....what are you waiting for, book it now!

The lady from the cooking class was not enthusiastic during the class. We were with 3 people (all 23 years old) and were really curious to learn something from the Thai cuisine, but all the questions we had she put aside. It felt even a little bit if we were forced to do all the steps to make the curry instead of a nice and supporting vibe. We would not recommend this cooking class to our friends or family.

I had an enjoyable morning with Oy. The class is intimate and informal, yet well organised. Despite three different dishes being cooked by the class at once, she is always there at the crucial moment and also has time to answer your questions. The trip to the market is of course, part of the day. You certainly need to fast for 12 hours beforehand and you'll be amazed at what you can create here. At last - I have made edible fishcakes! I recommend it.

Note that Oy does not ask for pre-payment. Please recognise this when you book. Two people on my day simply did not show up. That's rude enough, however in Thai culture - very disrespectful. This lady is running a small business single-handedly, so be considerate when committing her limited seats.

This was such a fantastic class! Chef Oy is a marvel to watch, coordinating 8 of us cooking different curries as well as managing to teach us about the cooking methods and ingredients. We were in awe!
We rode bicycles to the market where Chef Oy taught us about the local fruit and vegetables and we watched coconut milk being made.
Chef Oy was also absolutely great about allowing for vegetarians - 4 of us are vegetarian and we were taught all the substitutes for fish and oyster sauce, as well as prepping tofu for the meals instead of meats, so this class is appropriate for anyone concerned about food preferences.
I so highly recommend this class! It was such a fun afternoon, and you end up with heeeeeeaps of food! I’d recommend only eating part of the appetiser, you still have to fit in so much more food. We have takeaways sitting in the fridge for lunch today!
The best way to spend an afternoon with a bunch of friends 😊
Loved it!
Thank you Chef Oy!

Chef was great... adapted dishes for vegetarian and vegan. Able to suggest alternatives. Great range of dishes cooked and curry paste from scratch. Trip to market on bikes was only 5 minutes down the road - but interesting and informative if not been before or unfamiliar with Thai vegetables. Very laid back approach and relaxed. Bikes and toilets were interesting! But that goes with the territory! A little difficult to find but our taxi driver didn’t give up until we found it.
