I was travelling just before the virus outbreak but the island was already pretty empty. I really enjoyed the food in one of those local restaurants and when I was paying my bill, I realized they showcase the school. Well, if they feed me so well, maybe they can teach me something about cooking too? Brave assumption, as I am not the best chef ever, to say the least. A couple of days later I took the class. It was amazing!!! The host created such a friendly atmosphere that I immediately immersed in the Thai cooking. It was easy, funny, colorful and tasty! I enjoyed it so much. My little crew of three (two French lovely ladies joined) quickly decided which 4 out of 10 possible dishes to cook. Then we prepared the ingredients. All fresh, all colorful, all intensely Thai. The dishes were simply amazing... The most important thing - after I returned to Europe, I attempted Thai cooking here. And I managed to recreate them!!! Good memories returned... I recommend this school with all my heart. I mean it. ps. I tried another school in Ao Nang and Lanta Thai Cookery School takes the lead hands down. Solid lead, that is.

I did the dinner cooking course with Aon. She is a great teacher. We were a group of 3 so everyone got to pick 1 dish and the 4th one we picked together. We made golden bags, chicken satay with peanut sauce, massaman curry & the paste and sticky rice with mango. I was really happy for the dishes we picked. All of them were better than what I have had in a restaurant (that's how great teacher Aon is)! The cooking class was a really nice hands on experience and I can now make better Thai food at home which is great!

A friend and I went here for an evening class. It was wonderful! It ended up being just the two of us. We were able to pick four dishes to make, but upgraded to 5 for an extra cost. Every dish was absolutely delicious and well explained. They provided a recipe book of every dish, not just the ones you chose. There was wine and beer for purchase as well and free drinking water, tea, and coffee. Beginners to advanced, this class if for anyone. Thank you!
