Great and inspiring, a true chance to get off the grid and back to your nomadic sea gypsey spirit! I spent a night on Koh Por and it was an experience that will last me a lifetime. Oh yeah don't put your hammock under a coconut tree and do take lots of fruit, sunscreen and water with!

Had the pleasure of running across this place and really enjoyed myself. Eric gave us the lowdown on the local mangroves and Islands and then my girlfriend and I went off on our own for 4 hours. Would definitely go back to do an island camping trip.

Went out for camping and had the best time ever.

Can you imagine to be on an island? And there isn't anybody else than you? I felt like Robinson Crusoe and enjoyed every single second of this 3 days / 2 nights trip.

We set up our own camp with a small fire place, and I swear, the food we cooked was amazingly tasty... no 5 star restaurant could serve a better meal than the ones we cooked by ourselves those days.

Very soon I will find out about the other small little islands, the cave, the mangroves... well, yes... I am so much looking forward to my next trip!!

There are a lot of organised tours on ko lanta but if you don't want to be stuck with 30 or more other people for the day and rather prefer to explore sceneries on your own, I highly recommend to go to lanta old town and get a kayak from Erick. I really enjoyed that day on the water, paddeling from one small island to another, on my own speed and deciding on my own when to move on further ... Erick had prepared a bag with water, fruit and a delicious lunch, so there just was nothing to care about except for putting sun screen again and again;)
As I was on my own, I only went for one day but I guess it must be wonderful to go for two days or longer, sleeping on the beach of one of the small islands you can reach from there.
Important note for future travellers and for tripadvisor: I spent a lot of time finding Erick here on tripadvisor as his business is actually called 'Pirate Kayak Adventures' NOT just 'Pirate Adventures'. Maybe tripadvisor could fix that?;)
