Klong Dao Watersports
Klong Dao Watersports is situated on the beatiful island of Koh Lanta,Thailand at Klong Dao beach. We have our shop at Noble House resort. Its a perfect location with no rocks or any other hazards in the water. When the waves comes this is the best place on the beach to be for SUP surfing or regular surfing. And we have the boards for you. If there's no waves you can always take one of our SUP:s and take a nice paddle and enjoy the scenery of Koh Lanta from the sea. We have windsurfing for beginner and intermediate level and of course we can give you lessons too. (Beginner level only)

Phoned with the owner, and he said that they closed their business.

But he said that the Noble House Ressort has bought all the boards and will rent it.

Klong Dao Watersports located on Klong Dao beach is run by a lovely couple. They have great facilities with their office right on the beach but on the grounds of Noble House Resort.
The service is one of kind and the boards are in perf shape.
They gave us in introduction at first which was informative and nicely conveyed.
SUP is great fun and does so much for a leaner body without being damn tiring. The bay of Klong Dao is amazing for both beginners and more advanced SUPers.
They also offer fitness sessions on the board which I haven't tried yet but they used to be quite busy so that leads me to believe they are damn good.
Defo go there and don't be afraid of falling off the board, its fun and nothing to feel ashamed of.

Thanks to Peo and Ae for always welcoming us so warmly.

Great facility on Klong Dao beach
Jan 2014 • Couples
Great facilities at reasonable prices provided by charming, experienced instructors. Never done SUP before and not really that fond of water sports but my wife wanted to give it a go so we did. We then did it every morning for the rest of our week here, Khlong Dao beach is a great place to learn how to SUP with Peo and his girlfriend providing perfect facilities and instruction to facilitate this. They also have other water sports including wind surfing and run fitness classes in the sea using boards. We had a go at a class which involves a sort of Yoga/Pilates while floating around on the boards which was a little overpriced (we suspect due to Yoga instructor charging too much) but a good workout and very challenging.
SUP is a bit tricky for about 5 minutes but then good balance gives good confidence and as long as the wind and the waves behave the sport is mastered! It is a great activity and as well as being fun provides a good all round work out. Main advantages of learning here are warm sea, shallow water, beautiful scenery and great instruction.
If you are on Khlong Dao beach wander along and visit these guys, you will not be sorry.

An excellent holiday thanks to Klong Dao Watersports!

My girlfriend and I visited Koh Lanta in November. I had to entertain myself while my girlfriend was completing her PADI open water course. I came across a collection of SUP boards on the beach outside the Noble House resort. I had tried sup surfing in the UK before with no luck. I was surprised to find small glassy waves, especially at that time of year. I went in to find Peo and told him about my previous failed attempts at SUP surfing. PEO thought he could help so we (Peo made the time to come out with me!) took to the water. After a quick analysis of my ability, he gave me some pointers on how to start getting into the waves. After a demo from Peo, it was my turn to give it a go. I can happily say that the first five waves, I rode all the way to the beach. After the first day, I couldn't keep away! I was there most days to get back amongst the waves. Peo continued to offer any advice when needed. Needless to say, Peo and his girlfriend were a major reason I enjoyed my time in Thailand. So if you find yourself in Koh Lanta, make sure you look Peo up. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed (unless the waves don't come!) A massive thank you to Peo for all of his help. Good luck for the season!

Great place to rent SUP:s and windsurfing equipment. I took also a windsurfing class after which I was ready to windsurf on my own. The owners are fun and helpful, and the prices are competitive. Will definitely be back here next time visiting Koh Lanta!

SUP and surf!
Oct 2013 • Couples
My bf and I were surprised to see actual surf on Koh Lanta while we were there during the rainy season. The bf is a huge surf fanatic and had resigned himself to having a surf-less vacation since Thailand is not known for its waves. Surprise! Thank goodness the tall, blond Peo Pehrson was on Klong Dao beach with a variety of stand-up-paddle boards, foam surf boards, and regular surf boards. We rented from him two days in a row for around 4-6 hours total. He gave us a small discount for getting multiple boards and for staying more than an hour - bless his heart!

The bf was so happy to get to try surfing a SUP on glassy waves with no crowds. He had only regularly surfed standard boards before. I was happy to try surfing on a good beginner's board in water that didn't require a wetsuit for once. I tried the SUP for a little bit but then switched out to a foam surf board to try to really catch waves. Peo speaks multiple languages, including fluent English. He was full of positive encouragement and on the second day, he encouraged me to try a different board to see if that would help me learn to surf more quickly. Of course, he was right. His beachy lady assistant was also super sweet and, honestly, drop dead gorgeous. She made me want to have dark hair and great legs so badly. By the end of the second day, I was repeatedly catching waves and standing all the way up on my surf board! The bf was also catching nice long rides on the SUP.

The great thing about SUP is that you can paddle around past the break on calm water, or, like my bf did, surf it in the waves like a long board. So many options. SUP is also a good family friendly activity on calmer wave days. I had a blast and would highly recommend renting a SUP or other type of board from Peo! Oh, by the way, Peo rents boards out of the Noble House Resort aka there is a bar and bathrooms nearby if you need them. He will also put your bag in his secure storage area, or keep an eye out for you on the beach if you prefer to leave it there and he isn't planning on getting in the water.

Thanks a lot for the first review of Klong Dao Watersports. I hope and strive for that all reviews should be this positive. Future guests will not find a tall blond Peo but they will find a tall brown haired Peo. Everything else this guest mentioned, you will find for sure. Best regards Peo Pehrson
