I stayed at long beach for two weeks in a beach bungalow and found it very relaxing and friendly place to stay. Spent most days walking on the beach for breakfast and also to find a ball to relax out of the Sun in the...More
The beach was beautiful with nice views and amazing sunsets. I think it should be mentioned more that the water in the whole area has ‘sea lice’ which are jelly fish larvae which sting a little in the water. I went on a snorkeling trip...More
We are lucky enough to have visited many of the beaches in this country but this is one of our favourites. As its name suggest, it is a long stretch that has something for everybody.
We used it for early morning walks to get some...More
The longest of the beaches on Ko Lanta, but never got crowded, there was always at least 100 meters between you and someone else. Lots of bars and restaurants on the beach and on the main road which is just 200 steps away. Had the...More

We've been in May before and got warned of the same issues but experienced non of them! it rained for an hour a day, which to be honest was a welcome relief from the high temps. We got everywhere we wanted to. We are going in May this year too and are just going to book as we go rather than in advance. Hello, let me first thank you for your minds and thoughts here, they have helped me much in planning and executing recent Malaysia trip. This is not the detailed report rather impressions of these 3 visited islands. Langkawi-spent there 10 days and this island was the most positive surprise for me. Sunbeds are to be rented for 10 ringgits, main road is...More

Long Beach stretch- lots of restaurant options? (0 Replies)
How long is the stretch between Paradise Pearl and The Beach Resort on Long Beach, and are there many beach bars/restaurants inbetween? I am hoping for nice strolls down Long Beach at Sunset; beach bar/restaurant hopping whilst enjoying the lit tables down the beach!? Holding thumbs I've got the right picture here!

Long Beach update? (3 Replies)
Hi all Is there any update on how Long Beach is looking after the storms a couple of months ago? I know that Aquaholic said that Klapa Klum was moving location - does anyone know any more about that, if they've gone, where they've gone? Have any other businesses on the beach been affected? I realise it might be quite hard to tell during low season but hoping for some expert local knowledge! Cheers Lu

Hi, I wen down and had a look the other day. the guys at Klapa Klum are going to be there until October. The other bars next to them have been dismantled (they were all at the end of leases). Most businesses on the beach are closed during low season. Further down around Lanta Castaway it looks like business as ususal. There is alot more sand in there now. Havent gone up the north part of the beach, but they are all mostly closed. You dont really know who is going to open until aobut end...More
