Very good experience overall. The staff are very friendly and professional. Diving equipment and diving sites are really good. They will pick you up/drop you off at your hostel and the food is really good too. On the downside, they use a bigger, slower boat that smells of burnt diesel during the many manoeuvers to get the divers in and out. On the upside, the bigger boat allows for toilets, sun deck and an onboard air compressor for refilling the tanks. Pretty cool. Would recommend to anyone looking to dive in Lanta.

Thank you for your review. The boat is big and powered by diesel engine, which produces smoke. During tight turns and with the wind it can be smelled for some moments on the boat, but this is unavoidable on any boat big or small. sorry for inconvenience, but this is the nature of the thing. We hope to see you again.

Let me preface my review with a statement that this "ain't my first rodeo" with dive shops. In my short diving "career" I went diving with several dive shops so I do have something to compare. Let me tell you this was undoubtedly one of my best all around experiences in Thailand. This school has everything buttoned up. Starting with communication, organization, facilities, through staff and actual diving. The facilities are some of the better once I saw with spacious indoor and outdoor lobby and a reception area that also features a small shop with some dive gear. The school also owns a really a great dive boat that features two spacious waiting areas, a gear set-up area and even is equipt with onboard compressor so you will never run out of oxygen tanks. There are also two sweet water showers available to rinse off the sea water after the dive. In short the boat is one of the best I dove off. Włodek and Iwona, the owners, are not just the owners, they are more like hosts and your "family";) They make sure that your diving experience remains the highlight of your trip. Włodek and Iwona know the ocean like the back of their palm and will take you to amazing places weather you would like to buddy-buddy with sharks, enjoy the caves or meet the turtles. While you rest in between the dives aside of just traditional watermelon or peanapple slices like most boats do, you can count on fullfledged breakfast and lunch. If you venture to Lanta and get the diving or snorkeling itch you can't go wrong with Palm Beach Divers.

We went on two trips with Palm beach divers whilst we stayed in Koh Lanta. We went to Koh Bida the first time and Koh Haa the second time. The boat crew and diving crew were all friendly and it was very comfortable on the big boat to relax between trips in to the water. The guides are very good at showing you what to look for in the water, we saw sharks and moray eels and loads of other fish too, it was amazing. If you're looking for the best day of proper snorkeling then go with this company, you won't regret it.

I can't say enough positive things about Palm Beach. I was returning to diving after 25 years and they were so kind and helpful. I got back into it slowly and really felt comfortable with them. The owners are absolute jewels, funny and charming. I celebrated my 64th birthday week on some fantastic dives. Thanks so much to everyone at Palm Beach.

Me and my wife went diving with Palm beach divers for 2 day's, the first day we went with there own boat, the dive guide showed us a couple of things but after he made his own footage first with his go pro , i think customers go first. the second day they had no customers and we had to go on a different boat with a dive guide from Palm beach, he was just swimming in front of us showing us absolutely nothing , so another bad experience with the dive guide. When i confronted the owner with this he listens friendly but his wife became very rude to us. It is also very expensive to dive here , we payed about 110 euro for a 2 dive boat trip , the price is so high because of the distance to the dive spots, i know this included breakfast and lunch but everybody knows how much food cost here. altogether a very disappointing 2 days.

First of all the price was known to you from the very beginning. You booked 3 days package to have it 200 THB cheaper per day. Finally you were diving only 2 days, but the price was still the same. I find it also rude if a customer says he found lower price after he booked with us - you could do it prior to booking. The same rude are the comments that with such prices nobody will come back to us. My wife just said, that it is not your problem, but ours. You were the first customers in our 5 years experience who behaved this way. Good luck in your cheap diving.
