Interesting teak carvings

Our guide took us here when we went to the floating market. The carvings were quite good but the prices were Americanized. They emphasize that the prices include shipping and insurance but I have seen better work in Vietnam and India for less money.

Fascinating Artwork
Mar 2016
If you appreciate art, this is a definite must to do stop on your list. Many of the wood carvings took months to complete with two people working together. This is not a cheap place to shop but it's modestly priced for what you would pay in the US for handmade furniture & art. You also get the time to watch the artist carve onsite.

Highly skilled people

Even though this seemed to be a switch over point for people moving from onr tour to another it was quite interesting seeing these artisans at work, thier skill with a mallet and chisel is incredible. The staff in the show room jump on you as soon as you enter the shop and try to get you to buy quite expensive and larger pieces of furniture.

Interesting & amasing
Jul 2012 • Friends
Our day tour stopped here to change passangers going to different sites. Not much to do here, but some amasing wood work can be seen. Artists sit in front of massive pieces of wood, creating extra ordinary works with hammer and chisel. I was amased, as some of these carvings must have taken years to complete.
