Our guide, Scotty, was very knowledgeable, spoke perfect English. Patient with our questions. Enjoyed the bkie ride through the city, seeing the important sites with informative discussion at each location. If biking is something you enjoy, this a good way to visit the city

My wife and I decided last minute that we wanted to join a bike tour of the city. So, we messaged them the night before. We quickly received a response and were able to chat back and forth before booking. Extremely responsive. BIG PLUS!!

We had Sao as our guide around the town. She was great. She would explain the places we went and was super friendly.

I would highly recommend the bike tour and if you do make sure to ask for Sao!!

Not sure if this is the same tour that we did, so I added the link to the specific place we used for a full day Ayutthaya bike tour on the forum page "Colors of Ayutthaya Bike Tour". Our tour guide was Amm, if you can request this man he is INCREDIBLE. His knowledge is amazing, he doesn't push people's limits, he is patient and he even fixed my sister's flat tire. We also stopped for some refreshments along the way and played a gum ball machine lottery which had nothing to do with the tour but was a fun break.

We started out by visiting a school, and listening to kids learn English. We visited the ruins of Ayutthaya, as well as the well known Buddha head stuck in the tree. It was fun exhausting and incredible. Again, Amm is the man; fun to talk to, knowledgeable, and just a fantastic tour guide.

I took a private family tour.

First the guide was absolute 5 plus stars. His name was Best. He was the best guide we had in all our days in Thailand. Very professional and did a great job. They dropped the elephant camp from visit which is a great choice as it looked like the camp did a poor job. It is a long day but very enjoyable.

The communication from the company prior was excellent. Loved it.

Why 2 stars. The email I got from the company after the trip was in my opinion highly inappropriate. It asked me to write a review on trip advisor. It stated that my guide would be rewarded for a 5 star review. I think this is not right. One I think it can lead to inflated reviews on trip advisor and thus needs to be investigated. Second , what if I loved the guide but didn’t like aspects of the tour? Would the guide be penalized for a less than five star review.

In my opinion , the company runs a great outfit. Quit pressuring customers to leave great reviews. Let your product speak for itself.

Dear Texantraveladdict, Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review about our Colors of Ayutthaya tour. We welcome all feedback, since it's the best way we can improve our business and service. First of all, we are very glad to read you and your family had an enjoyable bicycle excursion in the ancient Thai capital. Our guide Best will be more than happy to hear how much he was appreciated! We hope you like the GoPro video which he made during the tour. Of course we are also very pleased that the communication with us was excellent.....before the tour. However, we regret to hear that you felt pressured because of the e-mail we sent you after the tour. We never meant to make you feel pressured by mentioning that our guide would be rewarded for a 5-star review. After we read your comment, we discussed the e-mail we send to our guests, and decided to amend the e-mail. We still ask our guests to leave the name of the guide in the review, but without mentioning that they will be rewarded. Once again, thank you for your feedback and we hope to welcome you again on one of our other bicycle adventures in the future! With warm regards, Dave Numan RBB Team

We loved the tour with our guide Sao.
We had two young childeren and they also liked the tour. The bikes and child seats are very good, although we missed a little basked so we could easily take our stuff (because a backpack isn't possible in combination with a child seat).

The ride is easy because the roads are good and flat. We had a nice lunch and got enough water. Sao didn't cycle to fast so it was not to exausting despite the heat.
For the kids it would have been nice to go closer to the elephants, now we only saw them from the road.

I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see a lot of Ayutthaya in 1 day.

Dear Jochem81, Thank you for your review and we are pleased to hear you and your family had a wonderful day exploring Ayutthaya by bike! We do not stop at the elephant camp in Ayutthaya, because it is our policy not to participate in activities that exploit animals (like elephant camps). Of course we hope you had a fantastic holiday in the Land of Smiles! With warm regards, Dave Numan RBB Team

The 3-4 hour tour duration was just right for our group to get a succinct understanding of Ayutthaya, as part of what we had intended to be a short day trip from Bangkok. The tour itinerary was a good mix of living community areas (eg. weaving through local neighbourhoods, sampling of roti sai mai- candy floss pancake) and ancient historical ruins. The inclusion of a boat ride was also an interesting experience for us to see how the locals continue to use modes of river transport- though it could have been longer!

Sao was a great guide who explained sites in detail, and helped us (who were slightly terrified at the idea of cycling through unfamiliar terrains) navigate the traffic and roads with ease.

As the office location was on a relatively secluded portion of the road, it would have helped if the signboards were clearer. It is also difficult to get taxis in that area, so it would be good to plan ahead for to and fro transport.

Overall, it was a good tour and we all enjoyed ourselves!

We are a group of 4 people (two couples), aged 30-35, from Italy.
We LOVED this tour and sincerely recommend it to anyone who is interested in an out-of-ordinary tourist experience in Ayutthaya.
Special mention goes to Gott, our guide.
He's an absolute star: knowledgeable, passionate and extremely well organised! We appreciated his way of sharing information about Thailand and its culture, the temples and local habits.

Also the Thai food prepared with ingredients from the local villages was really top notch!

Book the tour and you won't regret it!

Cheers,
Andrea, Gabriella, Mario e Anna!

We had a great afternoon tour with Gott. Just the right pace to explore the city and Gott provided lots of really interesting information on the history and traditions behind the sights. The local roti were delicious as well. The bikes were well maintained and comfortable. Thoroughly recommend this as a day trip from Bangkok.
