Reach the spot early if you plan to take your car in, only 20 private cars are allowed per day, you have to get permission from forest dept. check post, submit all your documents including license, RC book etc. and for this you have to stand in queue. Or else park your car and opt for transport by forest department... More

Serene lake. But too far. Takes almost a day of your holiday in Kodaikanal. Nothing to see except the lake. And no facilities there for food.

Best experience. Better hire a guide from your tour operator who knows better about this forest and the surrounding area. It would take more than an hour to reach there through forest roads. And the sceneries were awesome with mist covering the mountains. Basically it doesn't have much to do there but a calm lake away from hawkers. Best place... More

It comes under forest department. Note: You have to get permission for your vehicle from forest department to get into the forest. You have to get out from the forest... More

Probably the best place in my list of places visited in Kodaikanal. Inside the jungle and within nature. The view is a treat to the eyes. Would have enjoyed more if it wasn't that much crowded and noisy but still it was an amazing experience. Need half a day to visit this place and it's worth every minute.

Excellent place to visit. In comparison to Kodai lake it's really a Natural one. Kodai lake seems to be an artificial one and so very crowded place. Very well maintained place surrounding to this lake. Neat & clean, calm & quiet, nice beautification and lots of green.
