Cleanliness is required. Electrically operated auto rickshaw can be used for shuttle service around the lake.

Natural lake worth a ride on boat.Either hire one to ride yourself or with boatman. He can take you locations to click photo with good views. Worth trying the bbq corns.suggest not to eat roadside food for hygiene reasons. Warm cloths during winter.

The kodai lake boating is one of the attractions in kodaikanal. We went there in the evening and the climate is just awesome during the evening sunset. The charges are not much 100 rs for 2 people and 30 mins. Worth it !

Beautiful Lake. Experienced the boat ride in the evening. It was majestic. Fog covered the lake while returning back from the boat ride made it adventurous as we could not find the destination while riding the boat. So take care.

Cycle rentals in Munnar (5 Replies)
Just wondering if there are any agencies which give bicycles for rent on an hourly basis (similar to how it is around Kodaikanal lake). Not looking for a half day tour or something, but just cycling around for an hour or two. Any info on this is highly appreciated. TIA! SunMoh

My Kodaikanal Trip (9 Replies)
Kodaikanal, this is the best hill station in south India. You may visit plenty of places in India and different hill station, but you never forgot about this place. This is the feeling what I’ve got from this place. Although I’ve visited this place last year, mean march 2016, so you may find the slight differences in prices. I’m a very budget traveler and more focus on the places to visit and enjoy, rather than sitting in a luxuries hotel with a tv set. Let’s talk about my journey,...More
