One of the attractions of Bharatpur is Laxman Temple. It's probably the only Laxman temple in India and we were exited to visit this place. The temple in pink stone was ornamental due to carvings, clean and impressive.

There is not much inside the temple except then a reasonably okay courtyard.Temple seems to quite old but maintained okay inside. Apart from the temple, its good to walk around the market end... Parking our car at least 2 Km away and walking on the potholed, busy and dimly lit road, we even had difficulties in locating the entrance to the huge Mandir! But once we climbed up the stairs, we were stunned with the vastness and sculptured architecture of the Temple. There was not a huge crowd to pull and push you... More

You have to climb a flight of stairs to reach the temple. There is a big courtyard and lots of old carvings on the stones. From this place you can have a glimpse... More

This temple showcases fine intricate wooden and stone carvings. As this is Lakshmana temple who is avatar of Adhisesh Nag, the theme of the carving is Adhisesh's hood. Even the flower petal's finishing is in the shape of the hood. Normally people are afraid of snakes but the one who has seen such a beauty in the hood and brought... More
