I watched light show in the evening cost around Rs. 150 per person at 7.30 PM, show was really good and it tells story about the Punjab. Several food options are available, If you have Kids, they can try camel and elephant rides.

This fort opens door to the rich history of Amritsar and its beloved king Maharaja Ranjeet Singh. The two attractions of the place, the light and show (in the evening) and the 7D show are particularly extremely exciting. The two costs Rs 250, which is definitely justified.

This place is half finished. So shocked to pay the same as an Indian citizen i needed a sit down and a stiff drink! The seven Days show was fun but everything else was a bit flat, dry exhibits in the museum areas, some shops and eateries still waiting, has potential but maybe wait a year.

Fort Gobindgarh, was recently handed over to a private company to manage the day to day running. They are doing a great job, with a vision of encouraging arts, drama and various promotions depicting the culture of Punjab and its cities. The light and sound in evening and the 7d show is worth watching, inside are several shops and eateries selling the local fare.

It is really a very well restored Fort. It is neat and clean and very well made. The small stalls in the area serve all the popular local Specialities. The 7 D theatre had a very nice movie on the Life of the Maharaja and also a very entertaining and wonderfully animated childrens short movie. But the highlight is the... More

Am informed, that this fort was earlier occupied by the army but is now open to the public from 10th February 2017. The place has been of great historical importance. We were in two moods of visiting this one, however, as suggested by our driver, we gave a shot. And we came out happily. There is a battery operated vehicle... More

Gobindgarh Fort was a surprising treat for us. Although it has been opened to the public recently but parts of it are still undergoing renovation. And that actually made the visit extra special for us. My family and I are history buffs and my kids have grown up listening to stories of Kings and Queens of ancient India so to... More

With no prior notice the court is closed for a private function of some Dr Upall. There were at least thirty people at the time when we arrived to see the place. How can a place being advertised for a visit for tourism be closed for a private function for a whole day? Stupid. Please do not visit unless you... More

Gobindgarh fort is a fort deeply attached with the history of India and Amritsar. The fort has been restored to show visitors its former glory and power from the time of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh ji. When I visited the fort just last saturday (11th March), I expected the typical experience of any fort in India. However, this was nothing like... More
