Jain Leni

Small religious place situated somewhat outside city. Needs a small hole of approximately 400 steps. Nice for small picnics and family get-together. Nature during rainy season is also good. Needs own vehicle to go upto base

Very much popular in Digamber jain community. which is one of the closest Jain Temple, which is I am visiitng from my childhood.
Gajpantha is a Jain pilgrimage site (Sidh-ak-shetra) located near the Jain temple at Nashik. It is located in Masrul village, in the Nashik district...
It is 16 km from the Nashik Road Railway station and 5 km from Nashik City, available city bus or rikshaw. The pilgrimage site is accessible via a staircase built in black stone, which leads directly to the temple. The hill has 450 steps, three caves (known as 'chamar leni'), and several temples belonging to the Digambara sect of the Jains.
Anajaneri caves are just 16 kms away from this caves, also other famous Jain Temple enough close to this place... Mangi Tungi - 128 kms, Kachner - 225 kms, Paithan - 245 kms, Ellora - 175 kms, Kunthalgiri - 300 kms
The surrounding of the hill offers a panoramic view.
Jai Jinendra.... (is a common greeting used by the Jains. The phrase means "Honor to the Supreme Jinas (Tirthankaras))
