Rose Garden, don’t go by the name, but a must visit. A well maintained garden with an entry fee of Rs 25 with various flowers and nicely decorated and maintained plants. You take a stroll around and there are enough photo points. Enjoyed our trip with some beautiful pictures for memory. A must visit.

Small botanical garden run by Kerala Govt. Entry is Rs.50/head. The whole place will take you 20-30 min max. When we went it was pouring rain, only half the walkways are covered. Rest have stairs and ramps exposed to elements, they could have easily covered the walkway alone to help protect tourists. Lots of crowds and place has many stairs one must climb, so elderly may find it hard. Nothing like Ooty Botanical gardens. A flower shop with some lawn and flower beds on one side.

I read some reviews that seem to think this was just a few flowers in pots. It is so much more - open your eyes and spend some time. An absolute riot of colour and a rich selection of tropical plants well displayed in the garden. We loved the time we spent there.

This is a pleasant garden with lots of different colourful flowers. I wondered why the fences on the roadside were covered. Probably because the garden is not very big. Without the covers you could easily oversee the main part. Anyway a small attraction on the way to Mattupetty dam. Very popular, perhaps explaining why there are many stalls selling tea and coffee, even small meals and of course souvenirs.

Do not expect something similar to the Rose gardens in Ooty, which are much more spectacular and by the way 10 Rs cheaper to visit.

Entrance fee 50 Rs.

As soon as we drove up to enter it was clear that the Rose garden was not a rose garden. It wasnt the right time of year for blooms but our driver advised it was worth visiting. pay to enter. It is set on a slope so is terraced and has stairs going to each level. there are many plants on display, for sale - depending on season and what is in flower. Nothing unusual as far as plants went but it is located near a tea garden and has a row of well manicured conifer trees. This helped us decide not to visit other so called botanic gardens. They are purely small gardens or retail outlets. If you dont have your own garden and want to see some flowering plants - then go.

I was slightly confused when our driver dropped us here because it looked like a garden centre. However, it was actually very lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed walking around. It's a very popular attraction, with lots of people having photo shoots, which added to the fun.

There are a lot of steps, so it's not wheelchair accessible.

Rose Garden, as the name indicates, one could expect a lot of fresh, colorful roses and you would not be disappointed with your expectations. Not only there are roses, but there are also many different types of plants here. One could have an opportunity to explore a variety of plants and flowers. I would suggest visiting this place first in the early morning hours, as it would be a lot fresh compared to other times. You would have a fresh start to your sightseeing trip.
