The Azaleas and Impatiens were in full bloom and in all the most beautiful shades. The garden is not very big, but has some nice flower species. It was raining when we went in July 2024. If you don’t appreciate plants or flowers, you can skip this garden. A lot of people just went through the first line and left. We actually felt the flowers were very pretty.
The forest department has a small shop where you can legally buy Sandalwood from Marayoor. There is also a small nursery to buy plants.

Visited there today and was very disappointed! I have visited many botanical gardens throughout Europe and both North and South America, sadly this was really disappointing and by far the worst I have ever seen! I didn’t even bother taking any photos. If you can imagine a garden centre (which are free to visit), where the plants are covered with dust and not looking too healthy, and you have to walk down pathways which have high chicken wire fences either side... then you might start to imagine what to expect! Don’t waste your time or money!

Great garden for cactus lovers. I am a huge fan so I really enjoyed this garden. The cactus are quite rare and they have a good selection of hybrid ones too.
They also have a section for fruit plants and other plants. I totally recommend it

This is a small nursery, with lots of people following a path around mostly potted plants. There is a small concession in the middle. At the end you can buy starter plants. Paid admission was quite low.

Here you can enjoy a lot of nice flowers and plants within a pretty small area so it does not take that long to walk through it.

This place is on the main route of tourist circuit of Munnar and so hard to miss. The garden is a small one but has a nice collection flowers and decorative plants along with those of cactus and a little bit for fruits. The cactus section and the decorative plant sections are indeed interesting as you get to see some new varieties. There is a chocolate factory, but then these abound all over Kerela. There is a small restaurant that served a la carte lunch. The bamboo biriyani was good though a little spicy.

A decent place to visit for friends, familes, kids and couples with reasonable price. we can bargain for kids 5 to 10 years old and they too negotiated during our visit. this is on the way to top station.
