Kolukkumalai Sunrise

We had an early morning Jeep trekking to kolukumalai. The view was amazing. The best sunrise in my life. You must visit this place before you die.

We are nature lovers and we do not mind staying in jungle or eating simple food while travelling. In fact ,we love local food and local surroundings for stay. We visited Munnar but did not stay at Munnar. We went to a nearby town Suryaneli, about 25 km from Munnar. There, we stayed at a tent house and visited nearby... More

The approach road from Munnar is very adventures. Travel only through Jeep is possible. But the drivers of the transports are very friendly. Do not miss the post office on the way to Estate. Know the history of that post office from the residence. The tea after reaching the estate is very much refreshing. The early morning sunrise view from... More

Best riding experience. worst road I have ever seen but it was worth the effort. if you're an adventure seeker ditch the Mahendra jeeps and do it on a motorcycle. my suggestion is to use a bike which is capable of doing pretty rough off reading. i used Rx100 and it did well . best place to get a chai..😃😃😜

As mentioned by most tourists the drive is back breaking though very scenic. There were a couple of waterfalls on the way where we stopped to take pictures. The view of the tea gardens was amazing. Very beautiful. The view from the top is worth the ride up

I traveled in the month on December for a trek. There is a path to one of the view point which divides the entire valley into two parts. One part was this huge green tree plantations and on the second I can see the clouds below and above me. One of the best views that I have ever witnessed.

I havent seen a more beautiful place in India. Can go up only by 4*4 jeeps, all easily available. May need to bargain a bit. Our jeep was arranged by our tour driver who came from kochi with us. We paid 2500 for a full jeep for a family of four. We saw most jeeps going with 7-8 persons. The... More
