The monastry is situated little far from Bhuj and one needs 2 days if you plan to use public transport. However, if you hire a car & leave early morning from Bhuj, you can make it in a day. We went to this place on our way to Nirona and Great Rann. There was saint called Dhormonath who meditated for 12 years in a hill nearby and later on established this sect. Once upon a time there used to be 600 monks in the monastery, and today there is only one. Unfortunately he was not there when we went.... More

According to my guide book you can get here by bus from Bhuj, stay the night & return the following day ( not possible to do in one day) I came with a car & driver & made a day of it, stopping at Nironda village on the way to watch the craftspeople making lacquerware, hand painted embroidery & coppered... Siddha Shree Dhoramnath Monastery is situated in Than which is about sixty-km NW of Bhuj and borders on Rann or Kachchch. It mainly serves as a mini-study and mediation center for students and pilgrims. Very few travelers and tourists visit the place. It also provides most basic form of accommodation. Dhoramnath Temple is situated on a hill in the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat. It is a rocky terrain area and tourists can reach this temple by covering a trek of about 3 km
