We hired a driver and drove out from Bhuj. We arrived at about 8am and after all the faff of the military checkpoints, walked out about a mile down the road to the viewing platform. Apart from a bloke with a camel, we had the place to oursellves, Eerie, strange and wonderful. This was one of the main reasons we... More

Absolutely beautiful. We went during their Kite season and a lot of the local as well as the visitors were flying kites on the salt. It was very clean and the local are also very friendly.

It is one of the rare natural beauty one must visit. We visited this rare place on Feb.10th, a full moon night. Sun set was stunning, difficult to explain in words, one must see it to believe it. Moon (on a full night) and it's falling light and reflection on the white salt was mesmerizing.
