The place is located over Bhuj town itself and it is quite easy to reach here. Prag Mahal and Aina Mahal is over the same compound and you can see the architectural designs over here. It felt like they have modified or reconstructed some of the areas after earthquake. Anyways it is well maintained. Parking fee and entry fee is also there for both Prag Mahal and Aina Mahal. Visiting both the palaces will get completed by 2-3 hours.

Prag Mahal is near to Aina mahal, the entry fee is Rs. 40 for adults and Rs. 20 for Kids below 15 years. This palace was also used as kings Darbar in earlier times. You can see the old things here. The view from the top of tower is awesome. Visit time is approx 45 minutes.

A beautiful palace, contrary to rest of the buildings in the same compound, it’s maintained in a better way. However more written information needs to be added. A part of the building had cracks, either due to earthquake, or lack of maintenance. The whole area including Aina Mahal had an old world charm. Must visit area when in Bhuj.

कुछ दिन तो गुज़रो गुजरात में।
This is an amazing palace with a beautiful collection of animals shot while hunting in the British era, a small coin collection , a lot of Raja Ravi Varma paintings , Palkis ( Palquins) , furniture, mirrors, wodden staircases, arched doorways, clock tower and much more.
● The palace is made of Italian marble and sandstone from Rajasthan.
● Durbar hall, with chandeliers and classical statues
● Corinthian pillars
● Reasonably Well maintained.
● Located in the town itself.
● Rs 20 entry and Rs 20 for camera/ mobile if you plan to take pictures.

It's a 150 year old palace built by a European architect for the King of Kutch. The palace is a nice mix of Indian and European architecture with pointed arches and towers and use of coloured glasses. It is reasonable well maintained. There is a hall of mirrors which show funny reflections like too long or too short or too fat. The palace has nice spots to take good pictures

Is a multi storeyed palace with Royal carts, dining tables, furniture, couple chair etc. Is house of British in movie lagaan. Unique architecture makes the palace beautiful but irrelevant artifacts are placed to fill up space. Located adjacent aina mahal it's more modern and well kept.

Opportunity to ride one of the towers for a great view of the old city, but this 150 yrs old structure required little more maintenance. PragMahal has long since lost past brilliance, but it's still worth a visit as the place decay is a rare trip into the past. Do not expect a sumptuous castle in the rest of India, but rather a unique castle full of history and special, ruined hunting trophies and a good view of Bhuj.Located right near AinaMahal in the same walled compound, is the giant PragMahal, which may at first seem slightly out of place at the far western edge of India, looking more appropriate in France. But then again, globalization is not a new phenomenon. This is a palace commissioned by King Pragmalji in the 1860s, designed by Colonel Henry Saint Wilkins in the Italian Gothic style and built in the middle of Bhuj next to the AinaMahal. While little about it may seem Indian, there are elements; see if you can find them. In the courtyard behind the palace, there is a small Hindu temple with very nicely carved. You can notice one more ruin near to PragMahal, on the way to AinaMahal is ruin of Rani Mahal, which is closed for public viewing.Few shots ofone of the song of movie Laganwere shot in the great Durbar hall. You can ascend the tower for fine a panorama of the city.Time: 9:00am to 12:00 am & 3:00 pm to 6:00
Closed : Public Holiday
Charges : Entry - Rs. 20/-, Photography Rs.30/-, Video Shooting Rs.100/-
Please keep in mind those public facilities- like toilet, Wheel chair access not available here.
Don't go to Bhuj just to see this place. But if you are in Bhuj for a day or two, don't miss it.
Overall recommended to Visit.

I enjoyed the Royal palace . Due to earth quake one part is badly damaged. Ground floor and first floor is well preserved but others are in very bad condition. I hope govt. can do some thing to preserve them better for our future generation.

big campus that includes Prag Mahel, Janana Mahel & Aina Mahel. Prag mahel from outside would remind you of the big ben of london. huge entrance, huge varanda, wide steps, giant hall and rooms with old royal collection of wooden furniture, paintings, photographs etc. top most tower with a clock n gives view of the whole of bhuj, the lake, bhujiyo hillock n other eminent land marks. just outside the campus you can savour the tasty local food like dabeli, goti soda etc.
