Visit to Corjuem Fort
Apr 2019 • Solo
I visited this for earlier this week and spent 15-20 mins. This is a small fort, but worth a visit if you are interested in historical sites. According to Wikipedia it was constructed in 1705. It appears to be fully intact. The fort area is reasonably clean and the fort is moderately maintained. There is parking space in front of the fort. I found no amenities like public toilets & eateries close to the fort. Regarding access by public transport, there is a bus stop close to the site. I do not know of any website which lists the bus timings and routes in Goa. So you can try the bus timings as shown on the transit - directions - Google maps, or seek local advice. But be aware that on Sundays the bus service may be limited or non existent. If you are driving a car, use the road from Mapusa by-pass via Moira and Aldona. The road via Britona & Pomburpa is very narrow as it passes through these towns.

nice place to visit with friends

if you want to drive and go to a quiet place, this fort could be a decent option, its far away from city busy life, fort itself is not well maintained, so not much to see there, but if you are going with friends, its a nice drive and a good spot to enjoy

Great place
Jul 2018 • Friends
This is located far away from over hyped Goa'n beaches and cities.
The fort is located in a village and hasn't got that much of tourist exposure.
You can visit this place with group of friends during evening and enjoy a lot.

Was taken over by a Bollywood film crew, but easy to see what an impressive structure it had been. Still dominates the surrounding countryside.

Disappointment after a long drive
Mar 2018 • Family
We wanted to drive through the Chorao Island and Corjuem fort was on the way. It was a 45min drive from Aguada fort through village roads and the drive was quite enjoyable.

Though under the Archeological department, there are no direction boards. We reached the place, thanks to google maps and the biggest disappointment was that the fort was converted to a movie set. There were a lot of things set up inside the fort and the workers were having an afternoon nap blocking the entrance to the fort. Effectively we had to be satisfied having a look from outside.
Not sure what role Archeological department plays for maintenance, since neither the fort nor the way the film set was made were not in line with the way any monument of historical interest should be maintained.

Secluded Fort which is not at all maintained by the Goa Tourism department
Nov 2017 • Family
The Fort is very situated few kms away from Mapusa river which is far from the happening places of Goa. The place looks very secluded and you do not even find people here and the entrance to the fort is not even noticeable. The structure looks good but its not maintained, i personally feel its not worth travelling 25 kms away from Panjim to visit this place.

Away from the tourist trail we visited this lovely old fort when we rode out on our Royal Enfield's. It is a lovely place, it gets very hot in the midle of the day but it is worth a visit as it is well preserved and has some lovely architecture

Away from everyone including tourism department

The fort is situated in corjuem village very close to cable bridge connecting mayem village and Aldona.
The place is never looked as historical site and tourist attraction by Goa tourism department.
It surely can be made into a better place to visit and can be slotted into package of Goa tourism.
Tourist will love place as its in a calm and beautiful village with lot of greenery around.
