The dolphin sighting cruises are something that must be done *only* in the mornings Please avoid taking this up in the evening. Dolphins are to be sighted (if lucky) in the early mornings in a calm sea. In the evening, the "dolphin rides" are plainly dangerous outings into the open sea with people equipped with nothing more than a life jacket which no one knows how long it will help if a passenger fell over. The sea is pretty rough in the evening with much higher swells and the pathetic boat in which people are taken for the cruise can easily topple over if the boat ventures a little into the sea. The ride in the evening is ok as long as the boatman steers close to the shore line (up to Fort Aguada). In our case at Fort Aguada he made a straight line into the open sea and the swells were pretty frightening. The boat was pitching dangerously and we had no idea what was going to happen for a few tense moments. For a small boat with people and kids just sitting around in life jackets its easy to fall overboard if a swell pushes the boat to a side. The boatman had no clue what to do except ask whether we wanted to see dolphins or turn around. The cruise organizers are very simple people and have no idea of safety precautions nor are they in anyway concerned. And one boatman can't help save 10 people if the boat turns over. Please avoid this dangerous outing in the evenings at any cost.

Going to Goa one should try this cruise on backwaters. This trip cost rs.350 per hour per person. It is for an hour. There are two trips starting at 6 pm and 7.30 pm. On the board there are fun and entertainment for all. You can witness some song and dance by local parties. There is also dance floor and restaurant. The sunset offers a perfect ambience for cruise on backwaters
