Full of classic churches along with temples. Wax museum also nearby. Remind of our culture and Portuguese administration.

The visit of this area was a very impressive experience. It is much larger then we thought before and the churches are bigger, some seem still in use and all are much better preserved then what we expected.

Walking trough Old Goa with it's many Portugese churches one feels transported back into a long bygone era that has remained in place in this quaint little town. Because the river silted up the ciry lost it's economic importance and became a backwater, preserving it's many monuments and old time charm.

Worth a visit if architecture and culture are of interest. Beautiful churches and buildings, immaculate kept grounds. Did not enter any of the churches as was not appropriately dressed. Caught the bus from Panjim which is a short trip and inexpensive.

Visited during the desired season; October, it wasnt too cold nor hot. The history and heritage of Old Goa is mesmerizing espically if you like religious/old sites and history. Dont forget to drop by the wine stores to see good deals on dried fruits, wine, sweet and much more1

We arrived here on a very hot day so going in and out of churches probably prevented me from cooking in the sun. The history of this place is amazing, even as a non religious person, I enjoyed the architecture. Very clean town compared to a lot in Goa.

Not really my thing old churches, though to be fair the scale and number of those in old goa worth checking out. There is a partially derelict one on hill in way in worth a half hours browse. Two huge churches in town, worth stopping to see. But I cant get away from feeling of oppression from roman churches. The... More

Its' really a unique and special place, must visit! Blue, yellow, red all colored buildings with designer railings and wooden windows. River on one side, with breezes flowing through the alley type roads. The place looks like little European town! Stroll on roads, drink coconut water, look at beautiful architecture..I am in love with this place.
