A group of us travel to Roatan each year to dive. We booked with Sum divers again this year because the dive master we know and trust recommended them. Mauricio Riquelme is the best. Thanks Mau for a great time

Excellent service and great diving. They picked us up at our cruise ship and even though our ship was late they did everything they could to make sure we got in our two dives. They have many dive spots within a 5 to 10 min...More

I had a wonderful time diving with Sun Divers on several occasions. We saw plenty of marine life including a number of turtles.

My group of 15 total divers were picked up from the port the morning our cruise arrived. I had worked with Mal through email coordinating everything. Communication was excellent. Our entire group thoroughly enjoyed the staff, the brief lessons were informative, and the dives were...More

Anyone want to golf or help? (0 Replies)
I wasn't asked to share but thought this was worth sharing here on the Roatan forum page, just encase someone wants to help or maybe even enter the golf tournament. Help us help the Kids in our Community. This month Sun Divers is organizing a Golf Tournament to support the SOL International Foundation and their programs in the local community. If you can't make it on May 17th you can still get involved. We are looking to raise U$D450 (or more) to sponsor six local teenagers to...More

Any dive shops to avoid or pretty much all the same? (11 Replies)
So my husband and adult son are planning to get OW certified and I've been researching the various dive shops. There is a price range between $315 and $400. Does it matter which one we choose? I'm looking at Coconut Tree, Sun Divers and (I think) Roatan Divers but I haven't checked them all. Just wanted to know if it matters. Thanks!!

Those three are just as wonderful as the rest of them. Fanboys will appear here with posts of grand proclamations of superiority, but an OW cert is an OW cert. Go, get certified. And no, no one will tell you who to avoid, TA wouldn't like that, and again, there isn't much difference.

Cayo Cohinos - Charter with WHO that will value my family? (24 Replies)
Hi. My family is super excited for our upcoming trip to Roatan. One of the things we were most looking forward to was a trip to Cayo Cochinos with Ruthless Roatan. They came highly recommended from our dive shop (Sun Divers) and the reviews all on TA sounded really good, so I wanted to use them. I had contacted them back in October 2014 when I was doing all my planning. I inquired about the trip and they told me to contact them closer to set the actual date. I did that and now I got this...More

Rules are rules! Your post seems sort of snippy and entitled. While I am sure your child is an angel like most parents say about their child it is what it is. I for one am delighted to read a company that is not greedy and focuses on all of their guests experience. I am an adult with no children and truly respect this companies desicion. I hope you and your family are able to find another trip. Bay Islands Adventures responds quickly and seems like a great alternative. I do apologize for my...More
