The diving is simply amazing. I've been all over the Caribbean and the quality of the reefs and marine life was spectacular - not much really impresses me anymore, but I was completely blown away. 10/10, would spend an entire week diving Roatan (and with West End Divers).

The divemaster, Bri, was very attentive and helpful. We had a group of 4 very experienced divers coming off a cruise ship. Bri was on top of doing more interesting dives and catering to the group's experience level. Generally, most dive masters do a semi lazy guided dive around the reef. Not Bri. She worked with the group and took us to amazing spots with elaborate multi-part swim throughs and hidden areas that Bri knew like the back of her hand. These were areas you would never find without a dive master like Bri.

Shop email communication was ok, but a little slow sometimes (perfectly fine for booking in advance). Courtney did a great job answering questions and arranged transportation to and from our cruise ship. She even coordinated the return of a regulator one of the divers accidentally left behind, which was above and beyond regular service.

West End Divers also does Black Water night diving (going out 2 miles into the really deep and doing a night dive at about 50 feet to see cartilaginous weird stuff). It sounded amazing and I'm now considering a return trip just to do it. The weird photos in the shop are from some of these Black Water dives.

Don't think about it, just do it!! It was amazing! Swimming with about 20 sharks! Then looking for teeth after the feeding frenzy. Just wow!
Do no bring a go pro, any other camera is allowed but not go pro's. You will want photos. This is so cool!

After researching a lot about all the dive shops, I definitely made the right choice here and you won't regret it. I had two dives with the Master Diver, Tom, and my girlfriend had a snorkeling dive with Jodi. I couldn't recommend these two any higher - especially being I was a little rusty and were extremely patient with me. We saw some spectacular coral reefs and a multitude of sea life. Water was extremely clear and warm. I was speaking with another couple whom had done two other dive trips on the itinerary (Costa Maya and Belize), they said this was by far the best of the three.

Shop is extremely well kept and in a great area. They will serve some snacks after your dive/toward lunch time. Make sure you bring coral safe sunscreen and a towel!

I dove in November 2020 for 3 weeks with West End Divers. I am OW certified but not very experienced. I also did a peak performance buoyancy course with West End during this time, which definitely improved my skills. As the staff knew I was looking to improve my skills, they went out of their way to give helpful tips on many of my dives. I am a better diver because of West End Divers. They were very professional at all times and provide a full service diving experience. The diving in Roatan is always great, with lots to see, and they were open to requests to dive at specific sites, subject to weather conditions. Their boats and equipment are well maintained, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Can't recommend highly enough!

My wife and I recently visited Roatan and hooked up with the West End Divers. They gave me a great refresher at the end of the pier and later went out on the dive boat for a Fantastic Dive. We also went out on a previous dive Bot and did some snorkeling since my wife isn't a diver. It was a fantastic time as well and really hard to believe just how close the dive water is from the shore.(Just a few short minutes boat ride. We highly recommend West End Divers to anyone wanting to get out on the water!!! Thumbs up for sure!!!

I spent a month with the crew at West End Divers getting my Open Water and my Advanced Open Water and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the shop and the staff. They were so accommodating and astoundingly positive every single day. I wish them all the best during these trying times and I encourage any divers out there to visit them when this is all over.

My daughter and I were on a cruise and one of our ports was Roatan. We were looking for a good dive company and site to dive while we were there. We were told that West End Divers was the place to go for great dives, and we were not disappointed!!! We had a great dive and Joe Price our guide was terrific . I would highly recommend West End Divers to anyone that loves to dive. Will definitely be back again.

We had a blast diving with West End Divers!

We had already dived with a couple of shops on the island, but West End caught our eye because they advertised a black water dive. We signed up and it was hands down the most unique dive I've ever done! We loved seeing all the jellies and invertebrates on their migration back down to the depths.

Our experience convinced us to continue diving with WED and they made the rest of our vacation fantastic. We did literally every dive we could before our plane left. Alex and Regs (not sure about the spelling) were both very knowledgeable and pointed out all kinds of sea creatures (including practically microscopic sea spiders). They accommodated us while we hunted lion fish too.

Courtney always greeted us with enthusiasm and helped us out with equipment, while John (the owner) kindly answered all of our questions.

Overall, the whole WED crew made us feel like more than customers: they made us feel like part of a community.

We will definitely be diving with WED when we go back (which will hopefully be as soon as possible).

Booked this dive on-line to coincide with a cruise we were on. I was a little apprehensive at first because I really didn't know what to expect. Every aspect of this experience was excellent, from booking the Dive with Courtney to being met at the cruise dock, and diving with Madison ( Wendel- see the foot note ). Very professional run shop. We had so much fun and felt completely confident we were in good hands.
Thank you West End Divers, we hope to see you again soon

This company and crew absolutely rocks. They are informative and knowledgeable,
and their enthusiasm for both scuba diving, and their customers that pursue it is obvious. In fact, their enthusiasm left this Lone Snorkeler a bit reluctant to ask if they ever accommodate any hitch-hiking skinny water enthusiasts to their dive sites. However, I was delighted to find out that not only do they accommodate us, but they also do it at a fraction of the price the snorkel tours charge to go to the same places!
