The property is unique to Roatan. Just off the main road to a private beach area. This area is part of the Roatan Marine Park preserve. The reef system parallels the white sand beach of Sandy Bay The closiest swim to a underwater ecologial paradise teaming with tropical fish and corals. This area is a quiet tranquil area of Roatan without high end hotels and condos but close to the tourist meccas.

We rented a cabana for a week in Sandy Bay. It's a quiet, relaxing area that is not a crowded tourist trap. The Salty Mango is there for a great lunch and breakfast and it's a short taxi ride from West end for anything else you might want. The reef runs along the beach about 150 meters out so snorkeling... A large group of us spent a day at Sandy bay - we took a cab there with shore fishing stuff, snorkel gear, and enjoyed the beach for the day. Sandy bay is very quiet and we were the only people there for the day. We used a doc to relax on to avoid sand fleas and snorkelled with the... More

This has to be one of the best beaches i have ever been to in the world. A year later we are still talking about it. I will definitely go back to this beach.

We rode on horseback down the beach and it was super clear and lovely! There was so much more space to enjoy than on the other beaches.

Just swim just about 100 yards offshore and you'll discover Spooky Channel reef. Spectacular snorkeling!

Lots of great snorkeling off the beach about 50 yards. Places to eat and get a drink and watch the ocean.

We visited Sandy Bay Beach during our travel in June 2015. We found the beach to be smaller and not nearly as nice as West Bay, but, you do not have nearly the touristy feel as in West Bay. This beach is more of a neighborhood beach for the locals, that is smaller and more rustic West Bay. There are... More

Quiet beach away from the crowds. Restaurants a short walk down beach. Dive shops on beach and short taxi ride to the night life.

Its not the best beach on the island, certainly there are way better beaches for what the island is known for pretty much. Its not a bad beach, it is very average but I woukd suggest something like West Bay. Sandy Bay is like West End per say but much more private.

Sandy Bay beach is a small and somewhat isolated beach. It provides a great access point to the water with excellent kayaking and particularly snorkeling. The reef is a 100 yard swim away and is the second largest in the world. Amazing variety of coral and a good number of brightly colored fish and lobsters, etc.
