Great service, knowledgeable, friendly driver

We didn't want to just stay at the beach in port and made arrangement with Charlie's to go to West Bay Beach. It is a bit of a challenge to get out of the maze at port but we managed. If you're not sure where to go, the people in the taxi area are friendly and will direct you. If you have mobility issues or little children, grab the $2 cab that will bring you to the meeting place as you have to walk up a steep set of stairs and down a hill. There is a person with a sign that will tell you who your driver is. Our driver was Odessa and she was great. We walked to her car and off we went. It's about 30-40 minutes from the Carnival cruise port to West Bay Beach and Odessa told us all about the island and everything we would possibly want to know. It's a small island and a busy road, with some hills and sharp corners. She brought us to Foster's on a quiet section of West Bay Beach where we were settle in under some trees in the shade. They have wifi, you just have to ask for the password. We were the only people there as it was early. There are restaurants there and a little bit of shopping, restrooms were near by. We went for a walk and bought t-shirts before it got too hot. A few people wanting to braid my hair or give us massages came by but were polite and left quickly when we said no thank you. We decided to try the little restaurant right there and a young man took our order and ran it over. A little while later they brought us our food. I ordered fried whole fish. It came with rice and salad. The fish looked cool, but tasted fishy. I couldn't eat it buy my husband did. The salad and rice were good. Late morning more people came and along with them more people offering services or items for sale. We started to lose our shade and it was getting noisy so we had Odessa bring us back. We stopped at the big ROATAN sign by the harbor for pictures on the way back. Odessa gave me some Honduras currency to bring home. I highly recommend Charlie's Tours and a tour of the island. West Bay Beach was really nice and I would definitely go there again.

Parasailing

We recently went to Roatan, Honduras on March 5th 2020, and had contacted Charlie of Charlie's Roatan Tours. We went with Charlie's Tour because of the other Trip Advisor reviews. Charlie did not disappoint, from the initial contact through the actual pick-up, Parasailing and drop-off, Charlie's company was wonderful. The driver was waiting for us outside the port and the drive to the Parasailing was beautiful and very informative about the island. We would definitely highly recommend Charlie's Roatan Tours.

Wonderful and fun!

So glad we booked Charlie for the Sloth/Monkey sanctuary and Island Tour! Our group of 6 booked Charlie Feb 2020 and couldn't have been happier! First non-Carnival excursion we have taken in over 17 cruises! About 10 minute walk from the ship to where he picked us up. Charlie was very informative as he drove us from place to place and even stopped at a few areas not on the tour. The Sloth/Monkey Sanctuary was our favorite, plenty of time to interact with the animals. We also stopped at the Chocolate and Rum factory for free samples; Charlie let us take as long as we wanted, no pressure to "hurry up" as I have had on other tours. Great experience and would use Charlie again for our next visit!

Book this tour, it was the highlight of our trip

Just want to take a moment to praise and recommend Charlie's Rotan Tours. My family of 5 wanted a private tour as we don't enjoy large tour groups and I can not say enough good things about this company. Charlie is super responsive and communicative from beginning to end and the tour guide he sent for us was amazing. He patiently waited for us to get off the ship, drove us all around the island, while telling us about where we were, the people who lived there and so on, all while making us laugh the whole way through. We went to the sloth/monkey/bird place and only had our family in each enclosure while the large groups crames in when it was their turn. He personally handed us over to a tour guide at every location he took us to and had the air conditioning going in the car for us when we finished. We decided against the rum factory so he instead took us to Bojangles because he heard my son talking about wanting some. Charlie even checked on us by text while we were on the tour to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and got back to the ship safely and on time. This tour made Rotan the highlight of our trip. I can not recommend enough.

Fun-Filled Day

Our family of five absolutely loved this tour! It was definitely a highlight of our trip. Initially, I was hesitant to book with a third party tour company, but Charlie was always very quick to communicate and respond to any questions that I had. We loved that this was a private tour and that we were able to customize it to fit exactly what our family wanted to do. On our tour, we stopped at Jungle Top Animal Park. Then, we enjoyed horseback riding. Next, we visited the rum and chocolate factories. We also stopped at the colorful Roatan sign for some family photos. Lastly, our guide gave us a tour of the island. It was a very fun-filled, yet tiring, day, and I would highly recommend Charlie's Roatan Tours to anyone planning a visit!

Great day with Charlie’s Roatan Tours

We booked this trip after seeing a post from Charlie on a fb group that I was on. Best thing we did. The cost was so good and the day was just excellent. We opted to do a tour of island on ATV’s and to visit monkeys. Our tour guide was called Leon and he was fab, really informative, helpful, and friendly. We ended up doing zip lining as well on his suggestion, which was a fab experience and highly recommended. Went to West End where there is a lovely beach and we had lunch at a local beach bar.
Communication with Charlie was excellent. Booking simple. Charlie sent us through all the information we needed and they were kind enough to meet us just outside the port main gates.
Would definitely book with charlie again and would highly recommend his company for all your island touring needs on Roatan .

Snorkeling at West Bay Beach

Prior to our trip to Roatán I have numerous email with Charlie he replied promptly. We are three groups of family (6 adults & 5 kids). We booked West bay beach snorkeling I cannot recommend highly enough. We were put into an air conditioned van , the driver was very nice I forgot his name he stopped by the ROATÁN sign to let us take photos on the way to the beach. Driver help us to find some chairs on the beach to use, also he negotiated with the washroom lady who insist us to pay $1 pp to use the washroom. They provide snorkeling gears, we all saw fishes. After snorkeling kids have time to play with the sand until we decided to leave.

Great Company to Explore Roatan!!

A group of 8 came in from a cruise and were picked up by our personal driver and tour guide (Derrick and Stephen). We went and saw monkeys/sloths, then snorkeling at West Bay beach. We also did the chocolate factory tour and rum tasting. Everything was perfect! Derrick and Stephen were incredible and made us feel safe the entire time. They were professional, friendly and accommodating to the whims of our group. The transportation was clean and reliable. I highly, highly recommend Charlie’s Roatan Tours.

Charlie and his employees were great to work with! From the start, Charlie was quick to respond and took the initiative to follow up and touch base several time leading up to our trip. We were a party of eight and were having a hard time deciding what excursions we wanted to do. We chose our top three and Charlie said that we could fit them all in. He was right. We had a wonderful day. We all agreed it was our favorite day of our trip. Charlie’s rule is that you are dropped off back at the ship two hours prior to when it is scheduled to leave. We did those three incredible excursions and still made it back in time! Derrick was our driver for the day. He was very helpful. We felt very safe and were pleased with his service! Highly recommend!

AMAZING DAY

This was such an amazing experience! Odessa was absolutely amazing! She took us to all the places that was in with our tour alone with some local places. The restaurant she took us too has amazing food. Juan at West Bay Beach made the best margaritas so be sure to pay him a visit as well. I will definitely be booking this tour again in June when we return and fingers crossed that Odessa can be our guide that day as well.
