good tour, good guides, peep into history, Avoid the young men that approach you as you enter or leave hassling you for money. Some work needs to be done on the museum and to keep it preserved

It had always been a wish to see this museum and what an experience. It was a moving and somber moment which allowed for quiet introspection. The storytelling is vivid and so is the scenery. It was truly a memorable experience. What I hated were...More

Very sad to see the conditions the slaves were kept in and the guide gave so much information. Well worth a visit and the market is worth a look.

This was an unforgettable trip. Although we learn about the slave trade in history books, movies and documentaries, it was overwhelming to actually visit the dungeons themselves. I am still haunted by the memories of our visit to Elmina Castle.

Elmina Castle was a European (Portuguese, Dutch, British) fort that was used as the last stop for enslaved people before they were transported to the New World. My guide was excellent and very knowledgeable.
