Sveti Naum is not just a monastery but a massive ground filled with restaurants, gardens, local souvenir vendors, grassed areas, beautiful beach and an amazing lake that you can take a boat ride on. The monastery itself is small but beautiful but it's everything else that makes for a great time out there. The vendors have every kind of souvenir... More

Beautiful place to visit. It is off the beaten path. It takes about an hour drive from Ohrid on a winding road. St.Naum church is small but gorgeous. There are tons of restaurant in the area that are really good.

Very beautiful Monastery and such a peaceful place! That part of Ohrid Lake once upon a time was part of Albania but The King of Albania , Ahmet Zogu gave that to Macedonia For its own Interests. Its so beautiful! You can have a swim in the beautiful water of the lake , make a boat tour in the lake,... More

I took three kids to this wonderfull place from the city of Ohrid by boat, a bit windy but amazing feeling. It almost felt like sea ride, the colour of water and wide surface. Monastery is placed that way that u can see whole lake from it. Its not big place so u wont need much time to o see... More

It's not only a monastery, but a large leisure area directly on the lake. Beautiful gardens and lawns, cafes and restaurants and beautiful springs which you can row along in a small rowboat. Also a variety of souvenir shops, clean pleasant and well regulated. Highly recommended !

It wasn't quite what we were expecting and probably gets very busy at weekends but we visited on a quiet day. The monastery is tiny but very beautiful, there's a small beach, a lovely restaurant and the highlight was the natural springs. So pretty with crystal clear waters. Stunning. There's also the thrill of being right on the Albanian border... More

Took a boat from Ohrid to Sveti Naum, with a stop off at the bay of the bones. It was overall a very pretty and picturesque little trip but spent 3hrs on a boat (roughly 1:30 mins each way, bay of the bones stopping off on the way there). Just wish there was more to see, boat only stopped off... More

In general I have found the monasteries in Ohrid (and Macedonia in general) to be overrated compared with ones I've seen elsewhere, such as Romania and Bulgaria.

This monastery is one of the most beautiful in Macedonia. There is a lovely view of the lake. There are so many tourist. The monastery complex has a nice promenade, good restaurants and a nice beach. The courtyard of the monastery decorate beautiful peacocks.

I visited here taking boat from Ohrid €10 for a return trip with plenty free time at the monastery complex. It really is lovely, peaceful and scenic. Nice restaurants and walks, make sure you walk around the lake to see the churches.
