Authentic Byzantine church placed on a cliff above the lake. One can take great pictures of the monastery and lake and the far away Galicica mountains in the horizon.

It's a very characteristic place. Orthodox church built on the rocky cape in Ohrid. Excellent proportions and excellent location make it a characteristic landmark of Ohrid. It can not be omitted while in Ohrid.

This is situated at the lakeside below St. Kliment and offers lake panorama. Best visited at sunset time for lighting and photography. MKD100 to enter the monastery but not worth it IMO.

Go there for the view. It's worth climbing high enough to see the most iconic picture of Macedonia. Up there, if you turn a bit right, there is also a bench with a view to the open lake - amazing impression.

nice, steep climb and views; can get close via boat; have to pay to enter. Continue behind for more relics and church.

The chuck itself is very small but still holds significant importance. The views overlooking Lake Ohrid are spectacular and vast putting into perspective its sheer size. Views for photographs can be better found above the church overlooking the Lake as opposed to the same level...More

Out of Time place. Great for Meditation and Contemplation. April,May, September and October are best months to visit to avoid the crowds.

Small church on rock, with great view on lake. Stop to rest from walking on old (historical) ohrid town

Set in an old city with nice gardens (and turtles) this old church is photogenic. It is not work the entrance fee to pay to go inside - and no pictures allowed in any event.
