It is a symbol of Ochrid, that you see on every second postcard, so you can’t miss it during your stay. It’s incredibly beautiful during the sunset. You can walk there either through the forest from Samuel‘s Fortress, or along the lake.

You need to pass by this little church! Not specifically for the church itself (it was even closed when I arrived) but the lake views with are truly amazing!

It's a 20minute uphill walk from the nearest Resturant's. Slightly difficult to find at first but trust your instinct and keep walking down the path. A beautiful location which is free to enter and a must see place to enjoy.

We walked up from town and enjoyed the climb and views over the lake. The church is small with lovely frescoes. Boat men are in the area to offer a ride back to town. Nice round trip

It is located at a beautiful corner by the lake. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet, yet the scenery is fantastic. Not most obvious to find, but definitely well worth a visit.
