Amazing lake

Beautiful and very special lake, makes you feel like you are at sea instead of a lake. Macedonia has been new to us, but did not dissapoint

If you visit your Macedonian friend, they will surely offer you to visit Ohrid Lake. It's not without reason. Ohrid lake is one of the most beautiful Macedonian jewels. It's not cold and it can be a great replacement for a seaside. Ohrid is a historical town, it has many churches, old sites, but also modern shops. If you're seeking... More

Lake Ohrid is such a large lake extending from Macedonia to Albania that you can see a clear horizon far away when the weather is not bad. I spent about 2 to 3 hours as part of a tour group to walk up the hill to Csar Samuel's Fortress, turn to St Jovan Kaneo and then return to the city... More

Ohrid lake is a beautiful place to be in beginning of September. We enjoyed sunny and warm weather for the season. Nice allay for pleasant walk with side view of the lake. Enjoy the sunset as the monasteries in the old town. there is beautiful views from almost every spot in the end of the day. We bought authentic Ohrid... More

The place is really quiet and peaceful, the water is very clean with the best sunsets. I saw ducks with small ducklings. A must if you visit Macedonia.

This is one of most beautiful place in Macedonia. It's nice all seasons. On summer you can go and swim there cuz the water is warm. Not as warm as the sea but still great. I don't recommend to go by boat. For me it's not safe.

Absolutely picture perfect. Clean, clear water with a spectacular view. Many mornings you will have the lake to yourself. There are many spots around the lake to enjoy nature and likewise areas where water sports are offered. During the summer months, there are many festivals so you can immerse yourself in culture while dining. There are a large variety of... More

Arguably one of the most stunning lakes in Europe with breathtaking scenery, ancient history and an abundance of natural attractions. Being Europe's deepest lakes and endemic flora and fauna it is a very beautiful lake with crystal clear water and stunning pebble beaches that offer a lot of tranquillity. Definitely the shinning jewel in Macedonia and a must see for... More

A fantastic lake. The town of Ohrid surrounds it and the vast waterfront with a wide promenade makes it a most agreeable place. We took a ferry tour on the lake and this was also very pleasant. We passed the little old church of St John perched up on the top of one of the cliffs and further on on... More
