This part of BITOL is most worted to see, if came in Macedonia. He is on the way to the Lake and sity Ohrid. Everthing is on one place, one street,but nice combine few century.

Philip II is found at the end of the main strip. There is not much around, unless you walk another 2 minutes will come across the bitola clock, there are Mostly cafes, restaurants and shops. Just watch out for the beggars around.

This was a nice statue with information in several languages, but not English. It's situated at the end of the promenade so good for part of that walk.

As statues of heroes go, this is very impressive - big, bold, an upright figure seated on horseback, sword held triumphantly high, this black bronze just says authority and presence. It is as much a statement of power, and a memorial to a dead knight/king....More

This newly constructed statue is also at the top end of Sirok Sokak. Stop, take some pics, but nice to have instead of a boring square with nothing. Close to the clock tower, shops, and a great place to sit and relax

The Central plaza of Bitola near the Caat Kula park. Another of the many statues of Philip which can be found all over Macedonia. A little tacky and overdone.

This is an attractive rather recent landmark, in the center of town. If you were not going to be going past it, I would not recommend a special trip to see it. I believe it holds more significance for the locals than tourist appeal. I...More
