About
Although there's no proof that Cleopatra actually bathed here, this spring-fed pool is very popular.

This was a truly fantastic experience!
To swim in this spring pool you really do need to be a strong and confident swimmer, the steps leading into the pool can be a bit slippy so care does need to be taken. The pool itself is very deep, have no idea how deep it really was - but looking down through the crystal clear waters made it look exceptionally deep! There were a few green weeds growing on the bottom and occasionally floating to the top - but no sign of scum. The bubbles coming up from the depths make this a unique bathing experience and the water is warm and pleasant.

There is a small changing room (more of a shed really with a few nails in the wall!) but any changing shed is better than no changing shed at all! Toilets and a cafe serving good food are also available.

Some reviews I had read of this pool lead me to believe it was a scum filled pond surrounded by ogling men - this wasn't the case on the day I went - so take you're towel and bathing costume - you may be tempted to take a dip!

Warm, crystal clear spring water that bubbles up from the rocks. Don’t be afraid to go for a swim, the water is fine.

It's just a spring that the locals swim in. But there are some cute local cafes to just relax in surrounded by peacefulness and very serene.

There is a nice cafe next to the pool and souvenir shop where you can relax and enjoy a warm cup of louisa tea or other refreshments. You can chose to swim in the pool if you wish or not. Nice stop over as part of a safari tour.

The Cleopatra Spring is surrounded with many shops and cafe, which makes it not the perfect location to relax, bu the spring is surrounded with coffee shops where you can set and drink something to refresh, the spring it self is not that clean, but you can still swim in it

It is just the local boys washing and fun place. Its water quality looked very poor lots strange growth. Why tourists go there is surprising and I am sure Cleopatra never laid sight of the the place!

- There is a cafe next to it which you can change and have a drink or food.
- Swimming in the pool is really nice but you feel that your are really heavy in the water and you need a lot of effort.
- worth doing

Actually, I had been the Siwa Oasis and stopped here for resting and drinking Egypt's tea. It only has the signboard to write the name " Cleopatra's Pool". That's all.

We cycled there. The spring is in the middle of the street and there for s a cafe next. It's very popular among locals. We came at midday and there wasn't anybody, but by about 12.30 people started appearing. The water felt fresh despite some green weeds and slippery steps. Would recommend if you have a free day and would like to refresh, but come early as it might get very busy in the afternoon
