Dakrur mountain's story and touristic event are far more interesting than the mountain itself. For people like myself who aren't into "mountain-climbing profession" you can climb this mountain at some areas using your feet and the guide of course. It's a very nice view from up there with the numerous palm trees and the lakes in Siwa. If you are afraid f heights or rocks for that matter wouldn't recommend it to you. Overall... More

It is nice place to see the historical place that witnessed the important conciliation between the two big families that format the Siwian community. Dakrur Mountain is the highest peak in Siwa, you can view the whole oasis from up there and check all the sights you've visited. the place is great for watching the sunrise. it was beautiful with the sun reflecting on water with its different shades of orange! just stunning

I climbed that mountain for 4 times in my visits to siwa. I heard that their was a place down the mountain which you can hot sand treatment for your muscles & bones with good profession siwain old people. i don't try it but i think i will do in my next visit.
