Actually this was the best way to get to know everything in Otavalo. Let's start with Juan, the guide, he is well prepared, charismatic and knows almost everything about Otavalo. The explanation was excellent and detailed. We visited several plazas, but what I found the most interesting was the Urban art and the Churches. I like the stories and tales that surrounded these places and this tour has several of them. They also lead a night tour that unfortunately I couldn't join but I keep the experience of the culture tour. I recommend this activity to all the people who are visiting Otavalo for first place besides the people that have previously come. The project is really interesting and highlights a bunch of iconic places.

I went on both the day and night ("moonlight") tours. The day tour is fun and covers many cultural aspects of this very interesting area and I enjoyed it. The moonlight tour is BIG fun and involves local ghost stories and folklore. Juan, my guide, is a good storyteller and afterward pointed me to a good bar/restaurant to spend the rest of the evening. I recommend the tours highly.

Juan did a wonderful job of guiding us through the main attractions of Otavalo. He is very knowledgable and has personally contacted many of the artists that have public art displayed in the city, so he was able to tell us many of the stories and histories behind the art - super cool! The tour is very affordable as well, there is no set price - you just pay with tips at the end! Would highly recommend!

If you go to Otavalo take the tours offered by Aya Huma. The owner Juan Carlos is very passionate about his city and he knows where to find the best food, stores and bars to enjoy your visit to Otavalo. Juan Carlos is strongly bilingual so you can ask him any question and he will respond to you professionally Good luck Juan
