I reached out to Mario in hopes that I would be able to have a driver and guide arranged for a day in Isla Trinitaria, a neighborhood of Guayaquil that should not be visited alone. Despite this, I wanted to experience its unique culture and history. Mario arranged everything and made sure it was an experience of a lifetime. Within minutes of him picking me up at the hotel, it felt like I was with a friend rather than a guide. He was patient, knowledgable, social, and friendly which amplified the experience and allowed me to meet the authenticity of the neighborhood we visited. In fact, he is so passionate and kind that he offered to show me around his part of the city the following day to see the contrast that exists in the city, another amazing experience. Till this day, I still keep in touch with Mario. No matter what you want to do in Ecuador, he will make your trip so much more immersive and authentic - an experience you will never forget.
