Absolutely a great Parque with lots to see. Wonderful to view downtown and the Melecon 2000 in Guayaquil, you will be impressed. They spent a fortune and you can walk forever. The bus tour I was not impressed. Didn't do Sanbornadon as advertised. For all to see, they could do a better a job.

It could be cheaper it's $8 and they picked us up at a different spot and I'm 6'2"my head was not head was not decapitated like the previous review stated. I enjoyed the sight seeing and looking at locals live their life. Tour guide warned us of any obstacles and they stop for you to take photos and pee if needed. Seat was a little uncomfortable as my butt is slim. Def go try this

I have read the other reviews of this tour, somewhat derogatory, and can only wonder whether or not we were in the same place. Whilst the bus is old, it certainly never felt unsafe, and as to the dangers of being on the opentop deck, you are given instruction not to stand and to keep your body parts inside the bus. Indeed we sat at the front seats, on the top deck for the best views of the city, so this review is fact not fiction. Yes there are low branches, but the warnings are repeated before you reach the tree lined avenues, and not to stand, before reaching low bridges - all common sense. If that is to be a concern then you can of course stay inside the bus on the lower deck. The tour commentary is in both Spanish and English, and gave a great insight into the city, and it’s attractions. Whilst you are able to ‘hop on and off’ the bus runs every 2 hours so you’ll likely have something of a wait. The only group stop was made at the Malicon opposite the Rotunda, and the Guayaquil sign, for a more typical tourist photo opportunity. For a cost of only $7 it was a great way to see the city. So much so we returned for the evening tour, to see the city by night for no additional cost! A great way to get to know the city’s in 1.5 hours - what are you waiting for? Ice creams and drink so are available on board at normal prices. The English speaking hostess was first class, indeed I think it is her voice on the pre-recorded commentary. All staff were incredibably welcoming and helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend the tour. As an added advantage the bus tour starts next to the Park of the Iguanas, in front of the Cathedral, so lots to see before and after the tour.

It was only by a lucky chance that my mother and I met up with this tour company and one of their tour guides. My mother and I had a day to spend in Guayaquil so we decided to take in a few sites and ventured off on our own. As luck (bad) would have it, my elderly mother had an accidental bad fall at one of the heritage sites. Our good luck was that this tour company happened to on site with a tour at the time and came immediately to help. They allowed one of their guides Gladys Vera to accompany us to the hospital to assist us as her English is exceptional. She stayed with us for the entire day translating between myself and the doctors. The tour company had said that she could stay with us because we needed her and that it did not matter that we had not been with one of their tours when the accident happened. This tour guide company truly cares about the tourist that visit this beautiful city and their tour guide Gladys Vera was our guardian angel when we needed help. I would highly recommend this tour guide company....it is a company with heart.

Ok it’s hard to follow a trip to the Galapagos without a letdown. We had a free afternoon in Guayaquil and our 5* hotel concierge highly recommended the “hop on and off” cultural and scenic bus tour of Guayaquil. We felt from what we saw, that this is the ugliest and one of the dirtiest cities ever. There was nothing cultural and in fact nothing interesting in what we say. Also, as noted by others, sitting on the top deck places your vision if not your life in jeopardy. On numerous occasions we had to duck low electrical wires, street signals and signs as well as tree branches. Easily could have lost an eye or been decapitated. True it’s cheap way to spend 1.5 hours baking in the sun for 8$. But your health is at peril. If you’re here as a tourist, avoid this city. If you’re here to catch a ship, reconsider flying to Baltra or San Cristobal. But avoid the city bus tour if you must be here.
